Are you taking the whole family just try to get the poo count up?

Yeah, that's why he's filling them full of coffee. He's going for the world record!

Well sad that I didn’t do this a win.

Enjoy all that BOOST man!

Aldo clan full of ice cream and last seen heading toward a fun fair.

Great to meet you dude, have a fun drive home.

Love the names given by Jim. We need him at local gala hall on grab a granny night

Each?

1 each the girls let us down! No more either, think Jim put Imodium in our ice cream so he could stay "on the throne" as King of the poo count!

Home safe! Car drove really well on the way back, followed google maps out of town and it pointed us towards the A1 rather than the A68 that I fancied. Not wanting to be stuck on the sensible road, I remembered coming off at Morpeth and catching the '68 near Kelso years ago. Right enough as the signpost signalled Morpeth I saw "A697 Coldstream" and off we headed, nice scenery and great roads for this wee car. I've been driving big comfy cars the last few years so the handling of this was incredible, so much fun! You really don't need to slow down, it just goes where you point it with no fuss. The kids love it and my wife is also impressed, I might get to keep this a while...

Glad you enjoyed the run up the hill man. I'll miss it, that's for sure.

Thanks again to Tickman John, I read "this place etc" often but you've given me an actual car, can't thank you enough!

And paid Jim's rent next month in three days flat, and also helped another prolific shite addict push his gear on.

Rather than keep starting new threads all the time, it's probably easier to keep all my shite in one pot, so to speak.

Next car in is the Ex-Bramz27 Renault 19.

This is somehow my first Renault. Unless you couldn't half a Clio Valver breaker that was engine bummed for a Volvo 340 conversion.

The beast.

It's a 1.8 RSI (Renault Sexy Impressive) on Chamade or 16v wheels.

5 doors.

5 gears.

Manual everything apart from steering and sunroof.

Pics.

It's canny.

And by that I mean canny scratched, canny dented, canny faded, but canny clean.

Doesn't seem rusty which is a miracle.

Bramz, being a fine an helpful gentleman, delivered it up the hill and I thank him greatly for his efforts.

Interior.

The firm side bolsters on the SPROTS seats are too narrow for my fat arse, which makes sitting in the car less than comfortable. It's bearable for short distances and this is my fault rather than the cars.

All the switch gear engages with a satisfactory clonk. It's all big sturdy stuff.

Not sure how much wine you could get in there but I'm gonna guess a lot.

Out on the road it feels planted and agile enough. It's not fast, buy I'm kind of used to faster more modern cars. I'm sure it's pretty peppy for a 1.8 n/a and certainly doesn't feel underpowered.

The interior is a nice place to be and it's all comfy and welcoming. Steering wheel is nice and leather with a funky central pad that reminds you that you're in a Renault.

Steering is power but weighted well enough. It's light at low speed manoeuvres but still feels connected to the car at speed.

Brakes pull the car up well and pedal is nice and firm underfoot when applied.

All in all its a tight enough old boat with a long life left ahead of it. Seems to have been cared for. I mean, who puts a stainless exhaust on a Renault 19?

Someone that loved it, obviously.
