outlaw118 Posted July 17, 2009 Author Posted July 17, 2009 Wednesday 5th of August sounds fine; we could trial run it there....do we need a new thread do you think, specifically for ARSE events?
Cavcraft Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 For the record, I do not have issue with what RR is, or the general themes of current modification fashions that are prevalent within. However, I do have issues with the way in which the managment dealt with the whole 'skool' issue. I also have issues with the fact that persons from within the RR community then took it upon themselves to post foul-mouthed abuse on the message board of my website. Until such time as I recieve an apology for the way in which long-standing members (not just myself) were ignored, and later defamed during 'skool-gate', and some sort of acknowledgement that RR members who attempt to bring down other websites would at very least be discouraged (!?) then RR and RR-associated events remain a total no-go.Rly?What the fuck was the point of that, can only assume some sort of arse licking misssion as if they thought they were helping out RR management or something?

Some people have nothing better to do.
Cavcraft Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Erm, I have to confess I have done that in the past. But only when I truly believed I was wronged and didn't get the right to reply when people were making ridiculous/slanderous statements about me.If people are signing up to Pog's website just to have a bash at him then they'll just be two bob Keyboard Conans.
trigger Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Didn't even know Pog had a message board!Nice to see the aftermass of of Old Skool-gate is still about 6 months later...
FredTransit Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I think it was a bit before my time. At least you can talk about it on hter, not like another site I am on, it all gets deleted
trigger Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I missed the start of it one here but watched it all unfold on RR, It was just a mad time to be on the forum as nothing made sense with posts being deleted and stuff.
FredTransit Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 No point in searching on here for it, I can never see past the first page, no matter how many pages come up.
Guest Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I missed the start of it one here but watched it all unfold on RR, It was just a mad time to be on the forum as nothing made sense with posts being deleted and stuff. It was a bloody weird time to be there, certainly the most surreal RR has ever been, and I've been on there a few years.I dip in and out of RR. IMHO it changed after 'skool gate'. Matt Jones and I are part of an exclusive club in that regard.I also post on here a fair bit (mainly because you can have a good swear, I can't abide this filter toss), No Skool Just Cool and the VOC. I pop up on Old Japanese Car a bit as well, but normally a visit once a week does me because there's not much traffic through there. My first forumming experience was on Barry Boys, but I fell out big style with some of the more established members on there, because despite having two tenths of fuck all facts about my given situation, they decided I was WRONG AND IRRESPONSIBLE and that was it. It must be wonderful to be an omnipotent genius with a rod up your sandy vagina.
trigger Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Sounds like Pistonheads, Too many stuck up fucks that talk down to you whist thinking they are above you because they drive a Westfield something like that.RR and this are the only two i mainly go one now, PC forum as well sometimes but i find there are a few 'know it all's' on there which spoil it for me a bit.
Mr_Bo11ox Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I like barryboys, i know theres plenty of tossers on there but you can have a good old flame-up and everyones happy so no problem, give as good as you get, thats the message there.
outlaw118 Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 So, classics on the green @ Croxley 5/8/09 from 3.00pm onwards.A) Who's up for it? Should we all wear a silly hat/badge/sandwich board to identify ourselves to each other? Or is it only me who no-one (except Seth and Daverapid) knows?
andrew e Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Floods permitting I'm going to Harpenden tommorow.
pbottomley Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 mainly because you can have a good swear, I can't abide this filter toss),We all need a place to get the tourette's out, Autoshite is a good place to chill

After all, there will be lots and lots of lovely, shite cars!I'll be there, probably in the 2CV as I've been banned from going anywhere near the Mini as the gearbox always sounds like it's full of spare cogs after I've driven it...

Gompo Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 There is supposedly a 'Classic Car' show at Marshalls Yard in Gainsborough tomorrow. I am thinking about going but expect it will be 10 Rover Minis and 6 MGBs parked in a row. Did a quick search and it doesnt sound as bad as I first thought, may have a gander depending on the cricket: http://www.gainsboroughstandard.co.uk/n ... 5567383.jp
