So now I get to say hello to all the Tebay sheeps and coos.

Unfortunately, my work situation has recently turned into a no work situation, hence the fleet fire sale. It's a real shame to let the 205 go but needs must, and it's going to a good home.

Soz to hear about the lack of work situation.  Let me know if you need borrowage.  I'm hoping to get the Rover fixed and MoTd next week, although a session on it yesterday didn't yield much progress!

I did mean it when I said I'd have it back.

Yes I recall them, together with the McKindless Express.

I remember them, they ran  early Plaxton Premiers & an old Duple.

I will be arriving in somewhere called 'Manchester' within the hour. I've been reading up on the place to familiarise myself.

"Manchester is a small provincial market town located in the lush tropical climes of the north of England. It is a multicultural melting pot of nationalities, race and religion. And Hairnet.

Manchester has a bustling array of shops and restaurants, including a greengrocers and 47 Greggs. The locals, known as Manchurians, are small and meek. This is due to their exclusive diet of pastry, cake and dripping.

Manchester can be difficult to find. It is best to head for the major transport hub of Altrincham, and then ask a local for directions, as signposts were only introduced to the North last year and they are all written in Northern rather than English.

The town is situated in a deep volcanic basin which gives it it's own microclimate. Summers can be almost unbearably hot, temperatures have been recorded as high as 12.6°C. Most of the local folk wear large brimmed sombreros and ride donkeys to counter the sweltering heat.

Out of the dozens and dozens of tourists that visit Manchester every year, 100% said that they might come back again, but might not. Lavish praise heaped upon the town includes 'it's alright but it's no Huddersfield' and 'was that it?'.

Hotel rooms can be had for as little as one person, and flights are cheap and frequent to nearby Gatwick Airport."

So he did take a few bottles of brandy after all.

I know where's there's an AX he can borrow if someone* fits the drive-shaft which is presently on the passenger seat.

Now all I can think of is how Mark and Lard, when they were on Radio 1 years ago, would go on about London Village. Brilliant. :D

Now to continue heading northwards.

Can I please object to the use of the B word in regards to these pictures....that is in Fact part of Yam Yam land...and B doesn't start till you pass under the M5..LOL..

did you enjoy the road to get to the electric box.....it used to be 2 way for added hilarity!! :o

Oh and Bell End had a poll and wanted to change their name to stop folk nicking the road sign....it was also visited by a Yellow and red Fiat cinquecento owned by 'The inbetweeners' for a Radio 1 thingy!!!!!

I work in Glasgow, where are you headed next?

Soz Ian/Iain, I missed this.

I'd already bought an onwards ticket anyway. I must go back to Glasgow soon though, there was so much I didn't see. At least one more Wetherspoons for a start.

A couple of people thought it was still two way. Or maybe I was going in the wrong direction.

I'm getting a bit bored of buses now.

Hopefully after this leg, a nice man will pick me up and take me to a little car.
