It's a Hyundai i30 1.6 diesel. surprisingly nice driving thing... well equipped for what it is (basic car) with decent sound system, with auxiliary inputs etc. Only leccy front windys though... smells a bit with it being off the road for a while. Interior trim needs a scrub.. Most definitely the future of shite ownership. This is the modernist proton

Heh, Cog Sr chopped in his terminally unreliable Pug 407 SW (semi-auto gearbox...) for a new i30 a year or two ago... it's no ball of fire, but it's given him no grief and he's well pleased with it.

Home safe and sound (no pez stop with it being collected on the transporter); still needs a set of tyres, and a bit of a valet, but its had a wash, and a bit of a blast (I have a nice back road very close to home which occasionally doubles as a bit of a proving ground), and I'm happy to report that the 1.6 16v common rail 90bhp diesel goes really really well! Handling is very iffy - given that it needs a set of tyres and it's raining heavily today, but I'm pleasantly surprised!
