[gritted teeth]Well done that man.[/gritted teeth]

Gutted. I need a new little tank. And I’d even got a flight booked to come and collect...

Well looks like I have a plan

Not told Missus Moog yet. She is just about coping with the Rover coming on Wednesday

Posted

I’m sure it’s a very good plan

It appears The Moog and hairnet are on the way already.

Soon I am going to meet hairnet.

How does one prepare for this?

You nod and agree with everything.

"YES, YES. ABSOLUTELY." *nods*

I didn't clarify who the horse tranquillisers are for.

It really doesn't matter. As long as somebody takes them, the situation becomes easier.

If they left at 10ish and all is going well then they'll either be just about to go from the A50 to the M1 if they go east at Derby or they'll be on the M6 toll.

Lolvo is prepared, sitting and waiting, free of all my stuff (including the dashcam).

I cannot honestly say there are no twinges of 'WAIT WAT', despite the broken record I've been on here, but I'm glad I will shortly be able to focus 100% on securing another silly luxobarge of some kind...

There is also a secret trophy. Somewhere. The Moog is a winner, after all.

EDIT - text came thru, they're an hour away so my estimations should be right*.

Bye bye Volvo.

The Moog is off to buy hairnet some food.

Driving a Fiat Panda 170 miles in the rain to pick up a Volvo is one of the main causes of starvation.

All collected. Now feeding the hairnet for the return trip

I hadn’t checked last night and woke up to two PM's...I thought, wait, this is it....but it wasn’t, they were about the upcoming jag roffle

I’d been fairly ambivalent about this one, but now I see it waiting there for collection it’s a handsome looking thing and I am slightly envious

Well done that man. Onwards to the 2nd crack at the Jag..

The Lolvo is a 5 pot...2.0 20v four valves per cylinder. Accompanied by a light pressure turbo to swell power from around 150hp to 180hp.

40 mpg is nicely achieved. My record is nearly 43 on a gentle run to Brum airport and back with assistance from a 50mph section of the M1.

Good to see it's home. How is Mrs Moog?

:-D

That was cruise at 73 with a small 50 mph section.

She really likes the car! Which always helps the hurdles of winning a roffle. :-)

Awesome.

A+ roffle winner, for Tickman's benefit. :-D
