Renault Safrane 2.2 RN for sale

So with regret I need to pass my Safrane on,as incoming possible classic car means I need the space.

Its the L reg Persian red 2.2 RN that has been owned by several members from this site,it is MOT until 28th Dec.132K.

Its a 2.2 RN manual,RN so no A/C,manual rear windows, steels etc etc, drives really well, has had lots of bits done to it which I will list, has a couple of issues but nothing serious.....

Good bits

Drives really well, nice and smooth,no banging etc,has had full service with all genuine Renault parts including, oil, air, fuel filter,S/plugs,cap/rotor/leads,coolant temp switch, all new.

Has in recent times had new coil and centre/rear exhaust box pre my ownership and proof of cambelt change.

Has every MOT since first one, proof of cambelt change(twice)and bookpack, both keys.

Interior is lovely, superclean and very smart, bodywork again is really nice EXCEPT the bonnet which has stonchipping and a few deep scratches,a repaint would be on the cards here,i had a few door dings removed and replaced the hubcaps with scenic items which I repainted and look better than the poundland jobbies it had!.

I have valeted it and polished it a few times with Autoglmn, came up very smart.

Bad things

Bonnet needs a repaint

Clutch is high, but does not slip.

Has an annoying misfire at idle which cold, hot it nearly disappears, car does NOT cut out,or misfire when drive, just slightly at idle, its not that bad just me being picky!!!

So that's it,based in East Devon between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis,as for price open to offers but would like £350 for it?

Yes it is!

Guess there is no Safrane love for wanting this old barge?

Make sure to put the for sale tag in the thread headline, it'll be a little easier to spot that way. A few photos would be great as well. Maybe a roffle is a good idea, tickets for the last Safrane went fairly quickly if I remember correctly.

Plenty of love from me for this honey - but after four years of 90s Rennering, I've made a conscious decision to try some different stuff for a bit.

A roffle though... that's not a conscious decision. That's the fickle finger of fate, that is.

Just sayin'. ;)

I loved this car.

If one of my purchases goes to shit (I have a feeling one may not actually happen) I'll probably have this back.

is there no-one willing to give this Safrane a new home!

I can even supply a few useful spares to go with it from my collection!!!

Anyone interested please let me know ASAP,or I will have to go the plan B.

Forgot to say its had £162 spent on a genuine Renault heater resistor.........

I don,t think there would be many takers for a raffle to be honest.....

I think you might be surprised. I'll have 2 at £6 a ticket if you want to get one going, 22 and 44 ideally.

You could raffle a dog turd for 50p a ticket and we'd all still buy tickets and then be sat online watching the WilsonWilson live collection thread.

You've just sold 13.5% of the available tickets without it even actually being a roffle, without the tag, without up-to-date photos and without your knowledge. In just a few hours.

I created that around 12months back - I’m honoured!

Looks a bargain, for sure.

Well, it looks like the roffle floodgates have been opened, even if it may have been involuntary/accidental...

I thought it was both highly amusing at the time and highly appropriate now. It's been sat on my desktop for ages waiting to be used!

There we go kids, that's £48 pledged towards moving this wonderful slice of Gallic merde onwards to a new home.

And it's not even officially happening yet.
