True, but a Minor with F/G wings will never be worth the same as steel.

Possibly less than half in my estimation.

Therefore I could never justify the work unless it was my lifetime car.

Which in my case would be quite possible

Wings are only mudguards and lamp mountings on a Minor.   Every single panel available on the market appears to be made of pre-rusting Chinese off-cuts.  Fibreglass is not an inferior choice in this application.

I live on a hill, both approaches are long and lingering climbs, would the minor be able to cope and at least go as fast as the 15-20 mph buses and HGV's manage?

 

Seriously looking for minor with such tax and mot status as a forever car.

I've been tempted with the idea of a proper classic for a while, more so since I now have a garage and space to do work. And Minors have been high on the list. 

I'm very, VERY tempted. Like the idea of having a drivable, but work in progress resto! 

 

I'll need to think it over first though, but would a viewing next weekend be okay?

Who bought this?  We were at Bolnhurst Vintage and Country Fayre over the weekend and I asked my wife about Moggy's.  She likes them, as they look like a classic car should.  ie not a Sierra.

 

I took that as a green light to buy one, see!
