A whole truckload of Winda's finest Chinese death rings. Surely not that premium as I've never heard of them.

I saw a lorry full of Goodrides yesterday. Amazing that they're popular enough to have their own fleet

At first glance, that looks like it says "mr" Sava which sounds like some dodgy foreign bloke or a mid-1980s small time shop chain.

If you look quickly it says “junk”, which probably wouldn’t trouble the trade description act.

Dropped my car off at the main dealers this morning for a service. Whilst waiting for my lift I browsed the ‘Approved Used’ cars. I approached a car for sale (25k ish) and noticed it had new tyres… Joy Road !

Only tangentially related to tyres, but Indian tyre giant CEAT have branched out into cricket goods. Check out this new plank, modelled by India captain and opening batsman Rohit Sharma.

Do you think there’s a thread on an equivalent Chinese site that laughs at tyre names like Dunlop or Michelin?

"Dunrop" and "Micherin". Other cheap digs at pronunciation by non-native English speakers available.

I rather like the sound of Toledo tyres, it reminds me of the 70s and 80s when Spain was considered a bit exotic and aspirational

Rockblades on the other hand, the rubber of choice for the sort of bloke who is a bit of a maverick, is his own boss, likes unprotected sex (probably with himself) and prefers a tyre with attitude.

Lastly  a twofer featuring Firemax and RoTalla. Need I say more?

I've probably posted this before in this thread - but a lot of the time, these insanely named Chinese death hoops aren't even that much cheaper than a branded tyre!

For my wifes car we could have had some "Luckyland Happy Galops" for £71 a corner, or Uniroyal Rainsport 5s for £74!

I've often thought that.  Why would you bother when you're not even saving much?

Don’t you know they’re an old Michelin design made in a factory that also makes decent tyres? Also I’m such a great driver I can anticipate anything , so a 50% longer stopping distance doesn't really concern me.

It's not just the Chinese -

A North British Clincher Tyre. As I headed towards the ditch I felt a clinching feeling in my undercrackers...

(shamelessly nicked from SiC's Cae Dai 1950's museum thread)

Somewhere in the Pacific that may spontaneously erupt into panic, fire and general screaming at any time? (suitable description of operation of the tires also)
