Fr Teds Fooked If I Know Thread....

Fooked if I know what car I want, at the moment it keeps swinging between a very early Jimny and another Micra. No matter what I get I will get bored with it within 6 months - thats just me Im afraid....The wife seems to have kyboshed the open top Saab or similar route. Was wondering what cars came with that full lenghth Webasto Sunroof type roof as standard - seen them on early Mk1 Berlingo M/Spazz's, and on things like the Sceinto (which being small and Fiat feels like a tin overcoat on me). But what else? I have about a bag of sand to throw at something interesting. 2Cvs and Dyanes are of course well out of my price range these days.I dunno, when you want to find something its just a barren wilderness out there - or its it me? Fooked if I know.

Have you thought of going to carcraft to have a little look? Oh maybe not......

Mk3 Polo (94-03?) had them on certain special editions, one of my neighbours has one on a 51-plate. 1400 8v engine I think, and his has a/c too. Basically the facelifted square-light non-breadvan type jobbie, if that makes sense.Other than the 121 I am struggling to think of another motor, other than the ones you have mentioned, with such a sunroof. Mk3 Fezza, late special editions? Didn't the 1st-gen Corsa come with some kind of strange canvas roof (very rare) with padded rear pillars as well?C3 Pluriels haven't depreciated enough yet I assume. Shame Mrs FT has kyboshed the GM 900 convertible idea, I see they are relatively plentiful around the grand level but I'd be nervous of cracked bulkheads around the steering rack mounts and dicky roof mechs at that price...

A snip at 1500 Euros...

Still trying to decide what the original colour was under the badly cracked dark red... but the sunroof works a treat. [/img]

I like the jacked-up rubber bumper MGBs, they look a bit lost in the sea of immaculately restored tartan red and wires 'B's

Damn sight cheaper too  Not my cup of tea but I assume a fairly painless ownership experience and a bit of fun too. GT would be slightly practical too.

Early Twingo FTW! What happened to the Micra you had anyway? (Been away for last week or so so I may have missed it!)

2CVs maybe, but Dyanes can often be had for the value of piss. Also they score MEGA shite points for being the 2CV's uncool cousin. Also Dyanes are all supercharged. (lol)Personally I'd try to get a Panda with sunroof. Actually, did those Seat Marbella copies come with the Panda-style sunroof?

Will have a look at the Metro tonight - evil bay is blcoked at work.Mr Lob - still got the spazzed up Micra - short MOT and my boredom of the car dictate looking for other suitable shite.
