Ford commercial vee-hicles from half a century ago. Transits are particularly tasty. Where did it all go wrong?

And ten years previous. 1968 looked so damn modern in contrast!

I've been watching a bit of 90's Top Gear and came across this clip of the Toyota Yaris vs it's rivals in 1999. I hadn't noticed until now just how much better the Peugeot 206's styling has held up compared to it's rivals at the time. The Punto, Fiesta, Clio and Polo just look dull compared to the 206 and the Yaris, a bit weird.

The latest Mighty Car Mods is a cracking watch. Classic Nissan action plus Kei cars, if you like that sort of things

Kei cars [...] like

YES. I don't care how unmasculine it is, I'd drive a Copen/Beat/Cappuccino and love every minute of it.

I do like Steve Dulcich. He's a much less insular individual than his co-host.

You think you’re so original, Mr Brewer. People were writing words and numbers over project cars all the way back in the sixties.

As for the 1300, I think I’m turning. I’ve never remotely liked the shape of them, but the side profile of that one looks class. Might be because it isn’t buggered with rot yet* and it’s easier to see what shape things were actually supposed to be.

The 2 door 1300 was ace. You forget how well they drove with dollops of torque and they were so nimble with great vision. Certainly far better than what came after it.
