This Sunday 18th Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum has its annual St Leger Rally with over a 100 assorted classic cars, motorcycles, buses and lorries taking part in a road run from the Doncaster Aeroventure museum to the Sandtoft trolleybus musuem, always a varied selction of exhibits on display with the added bonus of Trolleybus rides around the site and a (usually) open-topped bus ride around the local villages.

I'm already booked in for this one but will try and make the next Yorkshire meet.

This Sunday (18th) at the Ace Cafe in London there's an "Eastern Block" cars get-together. I'll be popping along in the afternoon with the current Mrs. H., AND the Wartburg! Check out the website at: www.ace-cafe-london.com

Any fellow autoshiters who wish to make themselves known would be MOST welcome!

The website is here

some info....

"The very first Whitby Kustom Show is being held in the grounds of West Cliff Primary School in Whitby, North Yorkshire on 31st October 2009. The event starts at 9am and runs until 3pm"

and

"After the judging, all are invited to attend the organised cruise.

This will take us down into Whitby and then onto the Flask Cafe which is about 6 miles away towards Scarborough where refreshments will be served.

The Flask Cafe is becoming the Ace Cafe of the North East with regular bike meetings. They are very keen to see us on the day"

Anyone fancy it?

I expect there's some cool cars going but Whitby is a bit grim at the best of times, nevermind over Goth Weekend.

It is still slightly tempting me though.

The show is aimed at any hotrod, kustom or classic as long as it is pre 1975 (with the exception of PT Cruisers who are very welcome!)

D'oh!

Still, if you go make sure you get some good pics!

Cheers.

Aldershot wheels day is April 2nd, so the friday next week. Its a fiver entry! I should be getting a lift with a mate, but his car is being a piece of toss so it may not happen, so I may have to walk from the station. Anyone know where exactly it is in Aldershot? Google doesnt seem to know....

I couldn't find the postcode, but if you look for Claycart Road, that's where the Stock Car track is & Wheels Day is on the other side of Rushmoor Road.

Thanks Tayne, why doesn't the search work for me?? I put in 'upcoming car shows' and just get every single post. Happened last week with something else I was trying to find as well.

Never had much luck with the search wither. :(I think the "secret" is to avoid common words such as cars. ;)Perhaps "upcoming shows" would be more fruitful?

I'll be taking the Triumph along to the Wallingford Classic Car Parade & Show on May 9th. We went last year and saw a nice mix of "our" type of cars, not just the usual MG's, TR's & Stags.Anyone else Oxford-ish fancy a day out.

Search is a bit hit and miss for me but I simply googled "autoshite upcoming shows" to find this thread. That seems to work best.

so google finds it but the forums own search doesn't!

Search on here finds it, but includes thousands of other "hits" including the word cars. :(

yeh, it's at the top now but when I looked there could have been 20 pages to look through. Putting 'upcoming shows' should only bring up a thread with that in the title but it brings up everything which is pointless. I'm sure this can be changed.

Using the string "upcoming AND shows" and leaving everything else on the default brings up two threads, which isn't bad.I think the key is the use of the word AND.

Wings and Wheels at Henham, just off the A12 near Southwold in Suffolk, May 9th this year.

I've been for the last three years, it's good with loads more besides an excellent array of cars. I shall be there in the Laurel.

Might book in this year, though I never have done previously and I always end up on the enormous showfield.
