That's got to be the 144 that was advertised on R_R for like £150 or something? how many orange (and tax exempt) ones can there be? Might have come to Seth_towers if it weren't an auto.

Looks similar at least, I think that was an L-reg too!

Love that Escort,,,,just how I remember them being in the late 80s/early 90's!!

What a load of drivel. Can we ban him and bring XANAX_4_U back?

1982 MCA Coupe

Looks a bit odd! Fiat 126 based.

I'd have that! The rear looks incredibly wrong though. It looks like when you put a mirror up to your face:

"We've made the narrowest car ever. Now let's put the widest rear lights off a wide Granada on it."

That 144 is 100% the same car, Even has the same radio and no smoking sign on the dash, I'd be interested to see what it ends up selling for.

Yes.Renner 5s are brill. Always wanted one, maybe because my parents had 3 when I were a lad.

Richter, do you know why I'm such a happy person? Because I get to drive around in this nice big Saab.

1989 Ford Escort 1.3 L

At £1995 this Escort seems a tad pricey - I've got five kids to feed!

I know, I'll have the exhaust exiting out of the front bumper, that way I can breathe in all that 1.2 power smoke. What a cretin.

Posted

:shock: Surely the doors fall off this and Immobilo the clown falls out to terrify the local kids with his big end  Should also probably have a Wanker, sorry Wankel engine

Posted

I've always found it a bit of a pain having to open the bonnet to change plugs, check levels, etc. so this car would be a boon for me.

Posted Image

Also like how they've retained the poverty-spec steering wheel.

sorry double post

I'll let you off this one seeing as how bloody nice that Avenger is. Stuff like this makes me wish i had even an ounce of knowledge about fixing old cars 'needs brakes and clutch' has '£80/hour labour rates' written all over it for me i'm afraid...

Even a spazzer like me an fix brakes without the result being death.

So far ;)

Drum brakes have made me want to kill other people, when I first learnt about them anyway.Other stuff isnt too complicated, but if you are unsure, take a picture of what it looked like before you decided to take it apart. I dont think that can apply to everything though.

I've nevr so much as put petrol in a car. I don't own any tools. Grew up not knowing my dad so had no DIY experience as a kid (my mum is totally useless at stuff like that) Taking anything apart and 'fixing' it is totally alien to me. i'm sure i'll learn though...

meanwhile, going rapidly on topic, i'd happily buy a spanner set for this little baby
