The Corsair is rather nice, my father had a 2000E once and I always liked it, I wonder how bad it is?

This is not so nice

the yellow tranny used to live just round the corner from my old gaff, it's a total lemon, rot in every panel and sounds like a bag of nails, but it was T&Td and driven almost every day as someone's work van

Like I said, it will get to £500 if it doesn't go with buy it now, prices for the Mk2 are suddenly catching up.

This Badermatic Ascona has been winking at me all week. It's done well to keep the front valance trim too, as I thought they automatically fell off after a few months driving. 1 bid at £195 and not long to go, but a slightly steep £400 BIN for something with no tax or test.

Probably a tax free import by service personel stationed in Germany.I grew up near a RAF base and there were quite a few odd spec cars floating about.I believe they could special order RHD.

I'm not sure the Vel Sartis is worthy yet, mainly because I absolutely hate them. They look crap and killed the Avantime because Renault told their dealers to sel the Veal Situs rather than Matra's mighty Avantime. Boooooo!

That Maestro van looks a minter, and it's very local, just the price is a bit steep for me :-( , might be worth a visit for a haggle - but looking at the advert I doubt he'll budge much.Ref the Opel - there used to be lots of Opel's about in the early eighties, quite common to see Mk1 Astra (Kadetts) and Mk2 Cav's (Ascona varients. I seem to remember my neighbour bought a brang new Opel Record diesel in 1982 from the local dealer - a right noisy heap of junk as I recall...

If you get that Maestro van, I know a good yard which has an old one kicking about if you need the odd bit.

oops!i can attatch photos fine, just cant get them directly off ebay without re-hosting them. which i cant be arsed to do.

(still haven't worked out how to attack photos, sorry)

If you are on Firefox, you can get an add on called Nuke em or something. This removes (on request) the item that stops you saving them. If you are on IE right click and select page properties, you can then look for the URL of the pic.

Let's have another look on Car and Classic, I like that site.

1980 Austin-Morris Sherpa 250 Van

Reports From The Courts: Mr P Weasel, Poggleswade, lately carrying on business as Pog's Bulky Refuse. Flytipping offence. Fined £500 and £180 costs.

Look, right, this old dear asked me to help in her garden. Then the people at the tip wouldn't let me in with me sherpa, cos they reckoned it's commercial waste. What was I supposed to do with a van load of Leylandii clippings? And honest to god, I didn't know she'd hidden those drums of used engine oil, broken mercury thermometers and used heroin needled in amongst it. She must a dunnit when I wasn't looking.
