Don't think I've seen that one, post a piccy? Remind me about the article, just about to launch into a full-on sorting frenzy as I'm going to start listing stuff on eBay this week.

When I looked the top bidder was mm8sm8 - regularly appears bidding on shite. Probably familiar to a few others here? Seems to deal in reg numbers and a fair amount of tat. Might give him a nudge in this direction.

Hee hee - I see he's now bidding on Pogs blue(ish) Skoda. Someone really should invite him to the party. :)

That 'mm8sm8' has bid on nearly every car I've had on ebay in the last 12 months.Clearly committed 'shiter'. :P

Words cannot describe how much I want that.

I like the close up of the mud on the sill...Why don't people take photos of cars when they are dry and clean??

And preferably in the DAYTIME, and when not covered with 3 inches of snow!....You see it all on Ebay don't You?

R30 looks quite nice though....Early one too....Maybe he means it's the only one left in his garden? :D

Posted

It is an absolute beauty though isn't it? Looks immaculate inside, outside and under the hood.

Mine looks very tired beside that. :(

However - my R30 did pass the MOT test yesterday!!!!! :D:D:D

Bromley is now a firm fixture on my calender!

Fuel gauge wasn't working when I picked it up from the test station (though it worked on the way there) - not good when your car struggles to reach double figures in the mpg stakes!!

Huge thanks are due to Mr30TX for supplying the wishbones required - yah-boo-sucks are due to me for taking such an age to get around to fitting them!!

Congratulations! :D

Maybe we can use Bromley to introduce our Renners?

Sounds good Baz - if yours ever materializes and if mine survives the journey there!! :wink:I'm looking forward to it :D My 30 is looking soooo world-weary now - but the engine still purrs (or rather 'thrumms' - something to do with the odd-fire design) and it brings a smile to my face to be driving it again!

Do you have a link to the Renault 18 estate...can't find it (even when I type Renault 18)

Posted

That 3dr Civic is probably the best of them, but yesterday I found four of that model on eBay! That was after I’d seen one trundling around town here (seen before, not yet photographed). A white Hondamatic 5dr with MoT next month just reached £210.

Shame the eBay search item by bidder things seem so comprehensively b0rked. You'd otherwise find loads of cool stuff by searching for stuff bid on by 'imbethondion' ;)That Renner 18 looks tasty, but a kippered clutch is no fun at all. Being freanch I suspect that would be some kind of engine-out arse of a job...

Posted

Best check for adjustment in the clutch cable first though - may be all that's required! (assuming it's cable operated like the 12 was). You're right Pog, 'imbethondion' chap should really make himself known round here.:wink:

The Renautl 18 Estate....A mate won it first time around - went to collect and found the clutch fault on the way home.He had it up on a ramp and it was diagnosed as a shafted clutch. Can't remember what else he found wrong with it, but might be able to dig out the logs from MSN if anyone on here is thinking of bidding. He offered the seller a deal to pay something towards the clutch repair, but they decided to take it back and re-ebay it.Looks like that wasn't the best plan in the world.
