Saw these yesterday, both pics are in the same place.

Apparently the first one is bodged together with a lot of later transit parts, including a modernish diesel lump. The old V4 has long gone.

Posted

Long nose though, so surely would have had a York dizzla, unless the face has been changed too...

 I'm just quoting what I was told by a local shopkeeper.

Back from my hols in Devon.

Unfortunately, driving + photo taking don't mix, so most of my spots are only stored in my memory.

Did see these while out and about.

Second pic is indeed Woolacombe. Well spotted!I was staying near Bideford.

i spotted that Corsa in Gordano services on the M5, near Bristol yesterday afternoon. I quite liked it too!

That's exactly where that pic was taken!

 - small world, eh! about 2pm? shame the picture doesn't show the shocking pink rims. what car were you in Panda?
Posted

I would have been in this but not as late as 2pm.

Posted Image

Oddly enough, I took that picture of the Corsa precisely one week before, on the way down!

Just thought I'd post up pics of that Merc I'd spotted for sale.

I hope you enjoyed Bideford-I was born there and learnt my motor trade there! The garage is long gone from Torridge Hill but was linked with a garage in Croyde, called (predictably) "Croyde Motors". When I lived there both were Audi VW dealers and when last I visited north Devon Croyde Motors were selling Seat cars.Lovely part of the world and great for spotting-cars go on longer down there!

Pandamonium's sig block:"You know you are a true Autoshiter when you sit in traffic and you can't decide whether to turn the engine off (will it restart?) or leave it running (will it overheat?) and you actually breathe a sigh of relief at each journey's end!"Alternatively, if you're like me "You know you've got OCD or are paranoid when you service your 7 year old car with 27000 miles on it and you service it every 6 months and change the gear oil, fuel filter, stick in Mobil 1 and new iridium plugs and spend 600 quid on tyres a year just cos you read on a Merc website that you should"Or are nuts.Autoshiters, you lot decide! Is a 7 year old car old enough to put detailed pic on here, BTW?

Spots nearer to home....

Crapi auto. It was uber shite as the owner had hand painted the vinyl roof and the interior!

Posted Image

Spotted this old boy escort in a car park too.

Posted Image

And I drive past this regularly.

Ah, Kirby's....

I saw that Cavalier when it first came in, it looked pretty tidy really, I suspect scrappage.

That Stag has no floor, and where the back seat should be is just fresh air!

Posted

Look like the wheels on Hirst's Charmant.

Posted

Whip them wheels of and get them flogged on RR for mega coin. That Cavalier looks like a total hunny. Get on it.

Posted

front of that Cav hatch looks odd, but I can't put my finger on it. Lights too small, maybe ?

White indicators.

And the bumpers should be a more greyish colour and the grille should be the horizontal grey-silver slatted one. Still, none of that matters, it does look very nice and much much nicer to look at than our estate. Get this bought if you haven't already!

What's the red car on the left, four cars down?

I'll make a guess at an SD1.
