Heidel_Kakao Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Is Saturday on weather wise? I was going to aim to arrive around 10:00 if that is ok.
Six-cylinder Posted August 10, 2017 Author Posted August 10, 2017 10 am is my planned opening up time, but any time is fine by PM request. Heidel_Kakao 1
richardmorris Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Sorry, but I have to cry off. Not the niece's party but work. I've had a meeting up at Warwick uni today and really have to work over the weekend. Sorry folks. Have a good time!

RobT Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I was hoping to come but domestic stuff and car fixings at home take priority this time I'm afraid. A replacement coolant pipe for the Metro and rear brake pads on the Cavalier are planned. I'm hoping to get the former job done at the very least! Six-cylinder 1
GoGently Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Which Visa are you breaking ? Visa rear window & other bits required after break in. Chris I have a small trailer if you wish to clear a few rusty lumps. 1300kg Max Load so not your flippin JCB
Six-cylinder Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 I am breaking the accident damaged Mk1 652cc Club.
richardmorris Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 OK these thing happen.I wish they didn't - I'm stressed enough as it is. I am now refusing to answer the phone in case I yell down the phone at a customer. I have to sort out our BSI readiness for ISO 9001:2015 assessment. It's all management speak gobbledegook. Kill me now! Example.... what is the top management commitment to the quality management system? Well you're speaking to the owners, directors and workers- yes both of us! chodweaver, egg, Six-cylinder and 2 others 5

Sounds like a box ticking exercise, just plod though it dotting all the I s and crossing the T s. chaseracer 1
richardmorris Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 It is, but I need to get in the correct state of mind- waffle endlessly on about commitment and improvement. Etc. It's not me ( or our company- we are determined to be non corporate.) I got landed with this gig twenty years ago as I'd just come from another company with BS5750 and FDA accreditation. It's all men's round hairy objects! Edit. Off topic and I'm sorry for hijacking the thread. I was looking forward to dismantling Kermit the visa too.

Six-cylinder Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 If you are thinking of coming and don't know where, PM now for the address as the internet signal is a bit hit and miss up there.
Six-cylinder Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 It will be open at 10am, form a orderly queue, no pushing, one at a time please!
richardmorris Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Well I got a fair bit of management double speak ( 1948 was extremely prescient) done. What happened at the field of dreams?
Heidel_Kakao Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Much tea and coffee was drunk. Also lots of moped action, Visa dismantling, Spitfire fixerating and just general tinkering. Weather was great to boot One of my dogs took a real liking to the Visa and spent a few hours chilling inside it. chaseracer, Dick Cheeseburger, mat_the_cat and 3 others 6
richardmorris Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Is the spitfire running better? Speaking to my motorbike friend about it, his thought was that we weren't using the correct cylinder as no 1
richardmorris Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 I don't think it got started today (certainly while I was there, though I was the last to arrive and the first to leave).Quicksilver Snr was battling the offside rear brakes for the duration. He's a glutton for punishment!
Six-cylinder Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 The Green Visa took its last drive today and had a passenger who wanted me to swap it for a XM! Brodders, Heidel_Kakao, KruJoe and 2 others 5
Six-cylinder Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 Both Mopeds have had a busy day after Nyphur and Heidel_Kakao fixed the Honda. CGSB, egg, loserone and 3 others 6
Six-cylinder Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 The Spitfire 6 was not started today, but progress was make thanks to quicksilvers dad sorting the o/s rear brakes. Even if he did use bad language at one point! CGSB, Heidel_Kakao, richardmorris and 2 others 5
Six-cylinder Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 The Alfa had its brakes released and wheel refitted. One thing I learnt today, don't park your mower in gear with the engine running, its a long walk to get it back! Thanks guys a great day. Supernaut, drum, Heidel_Kakao and 13 others 16

Bucketeer Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Looks like yet another grand day was had at the FOD. You know it's going to be productive when the maroon Maxi is in attendance. Love the pics of easy rider Rich and especially seeing Anthony getting his destruction on. When I'm less in the grip of brandygeddon I'll arrange coming up soon to construct the easement facilities.
