What is your experience with machine polishers? General advice is to go with a dual action first.

Minimal to be fair.

A rotary is fine if you're careful, don't just whack it on full speed and go bananas, read the guides on Detailing World thoroughly, one thing I always had when I did it was a spray bottle of water and spritzed the polishing pad after I put on the polish once to lower the risk of hologramming the paintwork.

You can buy a DA in Argos for about £60, do that.

GR8 4 moderate marring.

Expensive because it's Dodo Juice branded, a Silverline etc will work just as well.

Whichever you buy, don't just go out and try it on a decent car (ask me how I know!) Get lots of old panels to practice on and to gauge the right pads and polish/lube to use. Once mastered results can be great.
