If you've got any from the event itself, I'd love a couple of those.

I imagine a Rodius is a bit of a weapon on and off the hawsers.

There were several Ssangyongs being raced at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago. One was as new as 60-reg. I believe they’re being banned soon due to how strong they can be built, so the racers are using them up.

It's basically a merc Vito Van underneath. Sooner there banned the better.

Just the tool to come thru the passenger doors of a 30 year old granny on opposite.

Those Rodius' are tough, I think an Imperials and Rodius' only meeting is the way forward!

When you see the wrecks being towed off you can see how rotten some of them are. Those Rodius things can take a beating.

The Ssangyong Rodius is the most fantastically hideous car I've seen in a long time, I LOVE it.  I'm disappointed I haven't spotted one around AS parts yet.

I followed one the other day, bouncing along like a demented ping pong ball on what you'd be forgiven for thinking was a billiard table smooth stretch of road.  It was ace and slightly un-nerving all at the same time.

That Rodius was not long for this world. But at least it had a wee haircut before its final hurrah

I'd like to do a classic road test on one and see if anyone notices.

Do it, but take it around the oval and do the test from there.

Good feature idea. I'd last about ten seconds because everyone would DD the fuck out of me.

"Easy to drift and hawser resistant, the Rodius is a sure fire classic for anyone wishing to rid the world of Mk2 Granadas. With Imperial prices now in the stratosphere, it's the easiest way to win an unlimited heat without being banned [or owning a Ford Mondeo]. This is one taxi ride where your driver definitely WILL go south of the river. And crash. Into Great Uncle Bulgaria."

Any pics of the last Unlimited event? I need, like.....one. Please.

Also, wtf is that large American station wagon?

Jon, sign up to Ovalchat - plenty of pics there.

Incidentally, that 60-plate Hideous was a Cannock taxi!

I think the big yank is a ford galaxie

Definitely not.

It's a '69 - '71 Mopar wagon, but it's impossible to tell which division.

Why does "Cannock taxi" sound like a euphemism?

"We went out for a drive, found this deserted carpark. Only bleedin' ended up giving me a Cannock Taxi up against a tree! Filthy."

Stan Collymore can explain further.

Allegedly.

Banned from banger racing for being too strong, ssangyong must be well happy with that.
