I second the hcv. Buy a Ford one, when I bought one for my puma it was £25 all in, I had a pattern one first but it lasted 2 weeks. The Ford one lasted a year and when I scrapped the car I removed it and replaced the one in amys nephew's fiesta that sharted itself in the same way, it's still working now

Update after a week an 470miles in her.

Heater control valve sprung to life after a faff with the plug. Only lasted a day before blowing cold again. That's been swapped from the old sad face fiesta, coolent was shitty brown rusty water so that was drained and flushed out. My drives now brown.

 

Next niggle was a leak from the thermostat housing, little pipe on the top of it had started to make a break for freedom. That's been replaced 12 quid from ecp.

 

Today's ball ache is the gear linkages have all gone stiff as a vicar at a kids party.

Sad faced fiesta is getting weighed in next Saturday morning. If anyone wants any free spares come round and take them Wakefield wf3.

Update on both cars. The new face lift seems to be working as it should despite doing more miles in a month than its done in the last 2 years

 

The red sad faced fiesta has been stripped out and is currently being prepared for back to basics 40th anniversary of the fiesta banger meeting at Hednesford. Any one that wants any lights trim, switches,glass or a towbar can come take the lot away for free

I'm good thanks fin. Got a cage am door bar for it. Back to basics is just throwing it together with seat belts and leaving it on the key.
