It probably wasn't personal. Perhaps just a previous bad experience, or just that some people are born sucking a lemon.

It's a great place.

will be there for about 4 secs as going dresden - via zwickau and chemnitz :D

Got back home not long ago - no, it wasn't an eight hour journey, I've been round to Junkman's. Conrad was there too helping fill out the R16's NOVA form. They now have RichardK's wing. I got to have a look round the Beast Estate and the R16 too because I was there, as well as JM's basement of models and bikes B)

Had a great time this weekend - meeting more shiters as well as catching up with everyone I've met in the last year.

Beko - it was mat_the_cat and Ruffgeezer with us, I think Rich was asleep at that point...

Didn't take too many photos sadly but here's what I do have:

Shhh ;)

Dollywobbler has a great pic of me bombing round the field on the Toledo.

When's the next AS meetup :-D

Any time enough of us can get together up here!  The SVM will vouch for the catering at the Chill'n'Grill, and at the Lakeland Motor Museum.  Just tell me when you want to have a day out,

Can someone please post the pic of the BX with all its owners?

That'll be Mr Fowler, who I imagine may only just have got home.

Most of Scotland got home about 7:30ish. It's now 2107 and I have been home, had some tea, a much needed shower and a cool down as I had about 18 months worth of heat intake from the sun yesterday alone. I'll action the group photo once I've got the camera unpacked and the memory card imported to the computer

Brilliant weekend, although probably the last time I (attempt to) sleep in a tent for a while.  The Innocenti behaved impeccably, and did 230 miles on £20 of petrol which isn't bad going at all.  Highlight for me was probably driving Angrydicky's lovely Austin Somerset, but I also enjoyed having a go in the BX of much beigeness (and little suspension).  Good to see you all (again).

My dad offered me a shower as soon as I walked in his door as apparently I stunk... Stepmum then cooked me a meal with some vegetables which was very welcome!

I've unpacked the car, although left the hoovers in for a video I'll need to make, and I'm charging the batteries from the drill I got from Mally, thanks for that again!

Aye, I dread to think what the Junkfamily thought of me! When I got home I went straight in, made a microwave meal and buggered off upstairs for a couple of the remaining Bud Lights cause I've definitely bloody earned them after three or four hours driving and whatnot. Shoved the bike stuff in the back garden, grabbed my essentials out of the car and the rest can wait.

Alright normally I'd wait and do a batch upload of everything once I went through everything but seeing as it has been requested...

(I'll do my own photo post later)

I made it home about 4pm, but only stopped for long enough to grab a quick brew then it was straight down to the unit in convoy with KruJoe to load the old V6 out of my Calibra into Captain Flimble's BMW 330d estate and send it off to live in Wales.

Then I attempted to fit the recently-arrived new rear brake hose to my CBX750F, but the ebay buggers had sent me the wrong part. Arsehats.

It was a fantastic weekend, good to see some old faces again and great to meet some new ones - hope it won't be too long before the next event :-)

Having zoomed in on the photo I can see clearly on my T-Shirt the letters 'S. F'

Quite apt for Shite Fest! Good picture, David.

Despite levels of booze input that would suggest otherwise, I'm going to take some actual memories away from this year's event. All of them ace.

I didn't manage to meet as many new faces as I should have done (because lazy and drinky) but this did allow for a very pleasant afternoon sat with Barefoot playing a game of 'who is he?'. We both lost.

The new (to me) people I did meet were diamonds. Thanks Chris, Scotty, John, Zippy et al for being brilliant.

The old faces were as mega as always, if not mega-er. There are too many to thank for putting up with me but I have to mention the estimable Gary Cox for once again suffering my inane chatter and tiny bladder capacity as he transported me away.

Hugs and kisses to all my shitey brethren, see you next year.

The Council Estate landed back at INLAWS_CMS_TOWERS at 8ish. I will do a photo post when I get round to it over the next few days, but for now - some faces of Shitefest.59216ec2f664802f2532d9f35bd25dec.jpg3efba3c75504c390429a51dfc6b7c27e.jpg94a752523d11caa47fe6430234f6970b.jpg54daaa388532adf3f534ec2787aa9a07.jpg7e4cc6437b0852d0e315405eee2fbcad.jpg78388f0d5bdbefc55cd111639a02968a.jpg2af1300113a4f1bd35ecd6fa65f78275.jpg7082e930f548192eb5d9e512048427a2.jpg54743d84d5867fd5e487a42c0f6524e1.jpg

Excellent. Sorry to Skattrd for pouncing on him the moment he arrived. I knew we'd never get all eight of us together otherwise! Can someone photoshop WilsonWilson into it?

Love how it looks like we're all super-excited about a BX diesel estate, ignoring the Hyundai Stellar.

gr9 event lads. I fancied a weekend off from work; worked every weekend for the past month. Glad I got out of the house, mind.

305 seemed to go down well. It seemed many people were watching it on eBay. Wobsdolly had a drive, he seemed to like.

Here are several images. I wasn't in the events coverage mood so my phone barely came out. I spend too much time behind a camera rather than taking things in./

Co-owned BX seemed keen. I had a quick drive. The spheres are indeed seized solid.

Joe and his temporary fuel tank.

Erm, quite.

eRLZJ6d.jpg
Pairing of brilliance.

I hadn't intended to say, but after a cup of scrumpy (ABV : Scotland) and a bottle of ale I kipped over. I didn't have any overnight gear or a sleeping bag, so I improvised with my scabby blanket mehico.
At 4am I was freezing my man tits off so fired up the 305, got the heater going and moved it slightly away from the campsite lest its autochoke Weber CO everyone to death.  The windscreen was so badly steamed up I nearly drove into the BX.

Andy said it looked like I was trying to top myself. True story.

Daz - you'll be pleased to know after you left DW took to hiding all the Top Gear magazines in people's cars so they at least didn't get chucked in the bin immediately. I found two on top of the stuff in my boot last night, then I got home and found about six more behind the driver's seat!

I much enjoyed my visit and meeting some of you. Didn't make it today as promised in my Anglia as I wasn't feeling too good and had no energy but I have good memories of some fine fellows and a splendid variety of vee-hickles.
