Event Club GLF Feb 12th 2017

As is now tradition or old charter or summit, its time to get back on the 1/4 mile in 2017!

 

Lowdown as follows:

Crail Airfield

Balcomie Road

Scotland

KY10 3XL

 

Start time 9.30am gates, 10am strip starts running.

 

Cost (2017 prices as updated by reb)

Entry £10 per person

All day Drag Racing £20

 

Its cash only. We usually get 15+runs sometimes up to 25 if its quiet.

 

Food available on site.

 

 

I'll be heading up in something, and will be at the Old Inns Services on the m80 (A80 Wardpark Pl, Cumbernauld, Glasgow G68 0BJ) for brekfust rolls at 8.15ish

Count me in if the weather isn't to bad for a 700 mile+ round trip.

 

Not sure at the moment if to drive up on Saturday and B&B or get up at 3am and drive through the night/morning.

I've been to the last couple of years, it was a great day out the first time I was there, loads of action and a really good selection of cars. last year was freezing cold and foggy so there wasn't much action to be seen, I think we stayed for an hour then went to the pub instead

while in holland last week friend was prepping a starlet (NOT MOOG)

 

the td was today he checked the weather before he was gonna leave

crazy other friend who previously put a ca18det into a 1981 bluebird went and had a go

I wont be making it, due to a long work week & weird hours I've just woken up after my Saturday shift (I did my Friday shift, my Saturday on..I finish at 1:30am & have to be back in for 7am). Meaning It's bloody hard to get back to sleep for me so i'd be too tired by midday. 

 

By the look's of thing's every time Crail is on It's my weekend on, so hopefully be able to swap around. Buggered if my work will keep me from Autoshite & Drag racing!

I may or may not be going. I've just finished work and am sitting outside eating very cold pizza, so that's a start. It really depends if I'm awake or not. I also need to take some amount of care not to pop the engine or anything, as I'll be straight to work after if I do go.

 

I'm confident I won't be the slowest this time, because TURBODIESEL
