I'm thinking the R5 Gordini, floats my boat in very possible way!

Fiesta XR for me, I like the look of convertibles sans rollover bar.It does look slightly boatish with the hood down though!

I knew someone from North Wales who had built a Nova Spyder:

It's a proper Irmcher bodykit and has a 2.0 turbo engine. There's loads of piccies somewhere, but I can't find them now. Lose the alloys and hide the intercooler and it's proper 80's

Just noticed that the Nova Spyder at the top has a hump behind the drivers seat like a Renault 19 Convetible.Quite like that Nova Station, Though not so keen on the cooler rad on the front.

Would have to be the Samba...had one of those in the mid nineties and it was a fabulous fun car great handling , very comfortable - and went really well on its 1360cc twin choke fed engine - just a pity they hadnt started to galvanise the steel in them and sadly the dreaded tin worm killed it off. Replaced it with a Visa convertible which i owned until about 18 months to - a bit more pedestrian than the samba with 1124cc but still great fun and practical as well - a guy from caerphilly bought it sprayed it and ebayed it a while back....anyone on here own b548cya?

MiniMetro for me please :D

Talbot Samba please. Just about beats the R5 Gordini for me!

ummmhave to say i think the '5' looks the prettiest of the bunch and seems to pull the conversion of better than the rest, XR2 looks hard a nails, wouldn't touch the metro, i mean i'm a metro fan but not of that one, still see alot of samba cabriolets over here..but personal choice the '5' just gets it over the XR2

Samba or Strada/Ritmo for me please.I recon as all the others are 'aftermarket' hatchet jobs, they're gonna be pretty shit and a right faf to put the hood up and down. Never mind leak like a sieve.I dont find any of the none commercial ones tempting, With the roofs down they look like a half arsed pick-up conversion, and with them up its throws all the pretty lines of the shell straight out of the window, and looks like the've run through a tent.

Fast forward to 1990 and I'll have one of these please...

That sooo doesn't count!

I'd still love that Metro though (the old one, not the red one)... I'll have to track it down somehow...
