Big 650cc single trialie, MOT'd until middle of the year, new Motobatt battery, sprag spring replaced genuine BMW heated grips, pannier rails and top box rack. standard and high screen, spare indicators.Loads and loads of paperwork, owners manual etc.High miles at 65k but has been kept well serviced and standard. Last time I was out for a run the clutch slipped slightly at the top of the rev range but may be because I used GTX.. Never did it before I changed the oil...

 

Going back to a big tourer methinks.

Great bikes, i credit mine for saving my life when i got crushed between two cars on mine. The thump thump of a big single is intoxicating. I used to get 40-50mpg out of mine. Not a quick bike. only about 48bhp or something, but do have some grunt when opened up.

Chances are its the oil - most bikes are wet clutches and dont take kindly to car oil with friction reducers.

It's worth changing the oil for proper motorcycle oil first but the linings might be gubbed once they've got impregnated with the car oil.

Used carol in all my bikes and never had an issue.,even a full power ZZR 1100. Might have just been a sticky cable..I hardly get a chance to use it now and it just sits in the shed. Ruffle could be a goer.. never done one before.
