Yes it will do. It will be a little noisier than normal due to the exhaust blowing but I would have no hesitation driving to Somerset in it.

Well I will be leaving shortly to collect my prize. Fingers crossed I have more luck collecting this beige classic than I did the last one (Cavalier mk2) that ran the big end brearings 2 miles from home. I am sure the little Talbot will be fine though, although I have no idea what to do with it. Probably just a sort out of the niggles then pass it on. The collection thread will be pretty crap mind as I haven't got my camera with me and my phone is only really any good as a phone rather than these modern things that are all singing and dancing.

Well done there PH65!

And thank goodness, it could have so easily been one number lower....

Disappointing.

How about doing some "courtroom art" style sketches to depict the trials and tribulations of the collection instead?

Is that supposed to be Paul Mccartney in the last pic and the famous automatic driver?

The other two pictures are DLT and Mark Bridger.

Well the collection thread would of been really boring. I got a lift there collected the car and drove home with no issues or anything to worry about. I still haven't opened the bonnet. With a bit of luck I will get a bit of time tomorrow to have a proper look at it. There is some interesting wildlife growing in the carpet that needs dealing with but other than that it drives great.

It drives great?

Everything is relative, it's a thirty five year old eleven hundred!
