I personally think it will be worth it. Bodywork needs a good going over all over to be fair

You should definately spend at least a thousand pound fixing someone elses £5 van.

I don't plan on spending a grand on it though mate that's what I'm saying. I could buy something else for hell knows how much to need to be spending a grand on that to get it OK is what I meant.

Booked in for big fuck off screwdriver and lots of tutting tomorrow 1pm. I am already practising my sharp intake of breath (only joking Bub, sure it's nothing that can't be fixed with a grinder and half an old washing machine carcass :-) )

Mmmmmm poking

Well Bub arrived, things were poked, spiders were run away from by Bub (for a big lad he can move surprisingly quickly when he needs to) and the conclusion is all good. The rust in the corner isn't structural at all and whilst it will take a bit of work to do properly it is easily doable in a straight forward sequence. The bumper bracket would be a bit of a fiddle but the bumper bar runs very close to the tow bar and as both fix to the chassis rail then the easiest route seems to be to connect the two together. It also turned out that the tyres were the same size as some I had knocking around so Bub now has a few spare tyres as well so all in all it was a good outcome. A lot better than the crappy morning I had sat in front of a computer at work for the second weekend running that's for sure.

And nearly forgot the best quote ever, when I asked Bub if he had a vice he replied 'smoking and big women'.

Sorry for lack of pics. Much poking was done and also much running away was done too from spiders. It doesn't look bad at all when investigated. Thanks for tyres too and the steel for repairs. What do I do with wheels after tyres removed?, I can send them back or donate to someone here if not needed

Also I lost a bumper end cap on the a38. If anyone knows of a breaker I'd be most happy.

I am in no rush for them and have a spare set so if anyone needs some dolomite steelies and I am more than happy for them to be passed on.

45MPG, not bad.

Just same with ours.

The car with the same engine is always 50+ mpg.

The Caddy is capable of 60MPG driven carefully, but it averages around 45MPG with my normal driving.
