Dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

I never thought I'd see a car with a more vile interior than the one in a farmers hilux I saw when I used to work at a garage - that thing smelled like a cows arsehole and had grass growing in it, but wasn't quite that filthy

Having said that though, £300 is really good price.

If it counts for anything, my parents have had this shape fiesta and ford must've used some really cheap interior fabric, as it seems to show up stains you didn't even know were possible (water somehow leaves huge marks on them and makes the seats look ruined)

The Fester I ran till recently was blessed with the dark blue cow and dash. That was obviously the better fabric for it survived my dogs' best attempts at filthing it up and more than one yazoo favoured milk drink. By comparison, Mrs CW now has a FolkArse with cloth that is hopeless for looking clean despite her fastidious cleanliness with it. It won't be hanging around much longer that.

I think it's sold now, along with the C1.

It's hard to understand people who allow a car to get so bad especially when they have to sit in it.

I've had some seriously mooty cars but the latest freebie has more stains on the seat's than I've ever seen in a car.

You did well to shift it untouched.

Naaah, Ford did a "1970s Vauxhall" on that shape Fiesta and there were a few different interior plastic colours. Red is quite rare, because it's a bit...... striking. I think there was a dark blue too which was better.

It's carried through to the Mk67 or whatever we're on now, still get red and blue but they're joined by Autoshite Brown.

Ooo yes, that's the featured colour on the one that's beige on the outside. No wonder it was such a strong* seller, which is why my astute gf bought hers for cheaper because she didn't give a flying what colour it was. Alas it was the one she wrote off, and she loved that car as much for the fact it was an unusual shade... Can confirm that the raspberry magenta one gets the red treatment still! She didn't much fancy that one in the end though for her replacement

Did this sell in the end?

If at first you don't succeed, keep fixing it until it's dead.

Hell yeah, a trader bought it. Obviously I had the usual clowns (social media) trying to offer me a stupidly low price for it first though.

Reminds me of the old works hack RAV4, every interior surface was covered in mud or feed dust. You got in and closed the door and you'd be showered in dust from the headlining, clumps of dirt and stones would fly around the footwells as you went around corners or hit the brakes.

I distinctly remember being thrown the keys and told to deliver some paperwork to head office, going outside and opening the door looking in horror at the state of the thing and thinking "fucks sake, I'm wearing clean jeans today..."
