What a great site this is! You wouldn't get the steam of someone's piss on PH!

I'd be interested in it if it's for sale, especially a bit further north.

Well it looks a go on my part. Just need to sort some finances out for insurance and how to get down south. A very big thank you to the moog.

That was my number in the Smart roffle that was held on Wednesday.

Good to see it is going to be put to good use, sitting around as a reserve van for me would not have done it any good anyway.

Have to say I'm genuinely disappointed not to have won this.

I think I've just decided what my next daily is going to be.

When Bub has finished with it, it returns to my custody and if I don't have a need then it will be sold/roffled with money going in website pot.

Well in in a 53 plate vectra a52 grantham bound as we speak. Drop down through spalding then to Wisbech. If its ok with the moog i plan to do any tidying necessary and cambelt etc on it and use it until its needed by the moog. Ive had to talk mrs into letting me use her car if i need 3 seats or more but thats all good.

Landed in Nottingham to drop lad off. Top seller to ian. A big thanks to the moog too. Van is great. Steering is not bad at all to say its unnassisted brakes take some getting used to though! Couple of issues i will sort like getting some lining in the back, drivers door strap and thats about it.

Bring it down here Bub and we'll sort it out as well as making it look pretty.

Probably do it on a tenner derv! Ill see what pump it is too as may be veg friendly

Posted

Great to meet you bub and glad to hear you got home with no issues!

Posted

No issues and the pump is a delphi so i think its not veg friendly. Oh well. With the mpg though i aint arguing

Drain what is in the A3! When do ya want to pop down?

Even if it was veg friendly, I'd be tempted not to veg it - especially if it's been on Dino juice for a long time. The cost in money from time lost if the pump seals gets upset with veg will be far more than the extra cost of Dino Juice.

Well im back home. It will need a little bit of a tickle with the welding stick around the rear light and bumper bracket but apart from that and a bit of rust on the on the inner arches under the bonnet its great. Comfy and a light clutch too. Steering i can manage easy enough surprisingly. Overall im very happy. If anyone can recommend a good welder after christmas then please let me know! Thanks everyone again.

I wont even try it to be fair. Fuel economy is astounding. Plan now is to get it lined inside, sort bubbles and bits and bobs on the body and get the old girl looking smart.
