These or a FIAT based IVECO?

Now where have I seen a Bedford CF like that before…

Oh, one I made last summer!

Its actually a modern Fiat blue paint I used on that but it’s very close to the GM shade.

I had forgotten about Maudslay lorries.  I don't think I ever saw one back in the day, despite being able to recognise most British types once I'd reached the age of 7 around 1957 when some of these would surely have still been in service.

The Actros MP4 has been facelifted! I believe it's being sold as more of an aerodynamic option than a facelift (the old front is still available). Looks pretty neat imho.

Looks so sad, like it’s going to cry.

There used to be lots of gravel pits in East Yorkshire and I vividly recall these and similar 'W Clifford Watts' versions plying the roads. On pulling away with a full load the engines were so loud and bassy you could feel the sound in your stomach. They also billowed copious amounts of blue smoke - I guess they had 2 stroke diesel engines.

Incidentally W Clifford Watts are still with us and their red livery is almost unchanged -https://www.wcwatts.co.uk/index.php The gallery is worth a look for many period lorry photos - https://www.wcwatts.co.uk/Gallery.php?gid=0&page=1
