Isle of Alderney plates are just three digits. They used to have 999 on the police Land Rover.

Oddly, it's the first thing I noticed when you quoted the picture, but I never noticed it in the first place.

 

I'm surprised channel island plates come up on Cartell and such like (although Alderney plates are of the form AY123 - only Guernsey has digit-only plates). 999 is now a Merc C-class apparently.
