It seems Network Rail lost one of its trains and sent the helicopter to look for it, but we did not have it!

This chap keep telling people he had a Rover, but we never saw it!

That was when he was not telling them about when he had a Cortina.....

But he did arrive in a chauffeur driven Marina!

Will get my photos up later. I had serious horn over a couple of the MGs and there was a jaw droppingly nice red Vitesse hatchback...

Bah, I wish I'd checked this thread when up there. Your Daimler looked ace Six-cylinder , if I realised it was you I'd hunted you down. Love the patina on the roof!

So this was junior the princess's first show which he seemed to enjoy by mainly sleeping

That Flamenco special is owned by my friend Peter week lurks on here. That was at a show/shitters price, it will be more on car and classic/eBay (but still at that price to people on here)

Lots of BL tat but not many pictures as I was generally on daddy duty. Best non-BL tin was this Singer Chamois

A good day all round, managed to escape most of the showers.

"Craig the Princess" thanks for the loan of the Metro wheels so my car can progress towards the road.

Looks like most of the best stuff has already been posted but my selection is on Flickr at https://www.flickr.com/photos/quicksilver_coaches/albums/72157674371429285

The grey Vanden Plah is a rare non-picnic tables version with the map pockets instead, apparently the only roadworthy Mk1 and one of only three painted that colour to special order.

Didn't even notice the grey Montego is a left-hooker. Imported just this year so I wonder what the story is?

XJ12 is weird, original UK-supplied RHD car but with US-spec bumpers.

Seeing that Allegro convertible proves my mum right after 20-odd years. One of them ran into her Metro and she was adamant it was definitely an Allegro convertible but in those pre-internet days both myself and my dad refused to believe any such thing existed.

You should have come and said hello to me Craig, your friend came over and said hello but i didn't know which one you were! I'm thinking about buying that Allegro myself to be honest, my friend wanted it but can't afford it, i can afford it but already have the Dolomite but the sweet sounding 1500 engine with the 5 speed and that really comfy interior is really drawing me in.

I think we all briefly considered buying that Allegro!!

One of only 2 1500 Specials left apparently and they were both there.

Ditto, we thought it might be you but didn't know. Will try harder next time.

I also grabbed some photos on my D80. I've found my Potatoshop sliders and I very much edit for my own personal taste, which happens to be like smashing a kaleidoscope into your face repeatedly.

Nevertheless, I present them here for your horror*. As you may tell, the weather was best described as changeable. I blame the incredibly bright sunshine for somehow getting a couple of shots out of focus. Even when there isn't any.

A Vandenplas when it works.

Nice 75 - is that a later numberplate surround on the back? It looks wonderfully clean.

I only took 2 photos, the customised Wolesley Six because I've never seen a 'crab on alloys ( apart from Minilites, obvs) and an Audi 100 ,which I parked next to in the civilian carpark.

Just realised a couple of things.

1. That's an Austin 1800 not a Wolesely Six.

2. I've managed to get a bit of Sixcylinder's and AlexG's cars in shot too!

There were two, yes TWO of them at Brooklands on new year's day. A surprisingly attractive conversion I reckon:

Belongs to my mate Alex. It's the right surround, but it's missing the boot badge. He bought it after driving mine and realising he needed one - his is a lot nicer than my £250 hack though!
