The cherokee is perfect for driving through the window of your local building society.

The V6 omega is perfect for fleeing the scene.

This thread is disgusts me. Selling tat to get a house fixed up. Don't you know that holes in the roof can be fixed with a tarpaulin . windows fixed with plastic sheeting and wives and families disposed of.

Get your priorities right young man.

but the fuggin' tsunami of negative waves emanating from the memsahib means that the desire isn't shared...

Even if I sold this lot I would still have a vehicle for every day of the week!

1972 ‘L’ Triumph Toledo 1300 - £1300

MOT: March 2017

42k

I bought this last year, sold it to PBK in May and bought it back in July. Thing is, I had so many plans for it but no time to start any of the work and my Cortina still has some outstanding work which I started a few weeks ago and simply have not got round to sorting.

She’s not in bad shape, minimal rust. It has had a blowover in the past and it isn’t the best job and quite patchy in places; Ken did have a go at polishing it up and some areas it has come up really well.

To drive she is spot on – always starts first time, interior in good condition just needing a bit of a clean. I’ve got absolutely tons of photos of this car and there is a fair bit of history with it.

She flew through her MOT in March and has probably only done around 600 miles since!

My interest has never really been grabbed by these but I am finding myself repeatedly drawn to this one and I've got a feeling that if I don't get my finger out quickly I'll miss an opportunity and regret it. You're not even impossibly far away. I bet you could deliver to Carlisle station too. Alas I would need to get rid of the XM first, and nobody wants it.

MM - it is better to seek forgiveness after the event than to seek permission before.

Just buy it.

Oh yes, please someone buy the 309 before I make a really big mistake in the first week or so of Sept.

This one is road tax exempt as well. Parts are easy to come by and are very reasonably priced.

Nice motors here's hoping you have more luck than me when selling,

I do want that trump for some strange reason,

Send Sierra and cash my way, take Triumph home - simples !

Anyone bought that Jeep yet?

I'm just filling the log book out with your details mate ...

That jeep would be in my drive if Lord Sterling wasn't on his way to mine with red5s Frontera right now.

No sense in having just one 4x4 is there ;)

Either the 309 had an incredible haircut 10 years ago...or a tester has dyscalculia.

.

If my hand wasn't being forced then I would have jumped at that offer.

Severly tempted by the Jeep had a 4l on once. Whats the Montego like?

That 309 has fairly been passed around...

Wilsonx2 owned it twice, I owned it twice, Derskine owned it, my mate Dave had it for a while, it's a great solid car, I would have kept it if I didn't have the earlier 309 sitting there.

MOT'd until June 2017, full top end rebuild done 4 years ago. Runs and drives ace. She's had a bit of welding underneath but has been fully under sealed since its last MOT, bodywork is okay some minor dings but minimal rust. £600

Tell me about this XM again?

What happened to the decals on the 309? Looks like they've now gone. :-(

Toledo tax exempt :) Easy to work on and bugger all in the way of rust issues ;)

Brilliant, when am I collecting? Will the tyres cope with nails?

So, who is going to be the first buyer and then trigger a frenzy of purchasing.

My fantasy list of wantage would be thus:

Beemer

309

Montego

Jeep

A sad XM is a really sad thing. It must be looking even more sad with a fail list that long.

Quite.

I took the fail sheet to another garage that I've started using and he reckons that points one and three are the same thing and I'm fairly sure the oil leak is either old and fixed or completely bogus as it doesn't seem to have lost anything since I bought it in April. Someone on the XM Forum suggested that the rust is pretty standard fair but there is just quite a bit of it.
