Reminds me of this

At first he seems like a bit of a weirdo but can see how dangerous it would be

Looks like fun though.

Maybe I should paint my Rover white and stick day glow red stripes to the sides?

Strangely, when I was down in Haverfordwest today I saw a liveried up, blue lighted, P Reg. Land Rover Discovery, the spare wheel cover said something about West Wales Emergency Response Ambulance and had a logo not unlike (but not exactly the same as) the St. Johns.

The age and colour (dark blue) did make me wonder if it was completely legit

A lot of rural areas have 4x4 response teams full of volunteers, they tend to mark their cars up so they can be recognised if used in anger. I've known a few members of such things & most are pretty professional about it.

Halve your work commute.

Meet new people in YOUR AREA.

Can YOU afford NOT to pretend to be an ambulance this summer?

Invest in your own future without delay.

Frankly, I'm impressed that road users actually used their mirrors and detected an 'emergency vehicle' in the first place! Please impart these skills to NZ drivers, most of whom seem blissfully unaware of a fire engine driving under lights and siren until it's right behind them, upon which, it's usually BRAAAAKE, AARGH, SLOW DOWN BUT DON'T COME TO A HALT, PULL VAGUELY TO THE LEFT THEN STOP ON A BLIND CORNER. Great fun.

I had it the other day where i was driving through Oxford in a flow of traffic and i saw a police car coming up a few cars behind with it's blues flashing, i slowed and pulled to the side to let it pass as the twat up my arse behind me in a 65 plate Merc S Class decides to overtake me and then proceeds to carry on driving along for the next mile with the police car right up his arse oblivious to everything happening behind him.

Knob.

I once got pulled over by a fake police car in Peterborough at 4am. I was slightly dubious as it was blue Astra with a small light. The wanker got out and walked towards my car then turned tail and scuttled off, presumably to find a lay-by where he could deal with his tiny erection.

The Bill showed no interest when I phoned them, didn't even ask for the number. I don't know if this is a regular thing that people do but given the state of some real police cars it must be hard to spot a fake one.

I've done the oblivious thing on a motorbike before. I had ear plugs in at the time and was wondering why all the cars were getting out of my way all of a sudden.

It was only about 1/4 mile. Oops

I like the driver who when you stop to let a bus or lorry through overtake you and then come face to face with said lorry or bus. I particularly like the ones who don't notice said lorry or bus because they are too busy shouting at you or calling you a tit when they eventually look ahead and there is a big bus in front of them . Makes me chuckle.

I'd be all like 'better keep to 65mph' and gulping if this came up behind me, convinced by roof rack, imitation police badge, blue fog lights and obvious police affiliation with cheap Dacias.

What the tits is a crime prevention officer?

In the olden days it was a proper plod who came round your house with a box of stamps and a hammer to postcode your bike and tell you how to fit window locks to your house.
