For Sale Slightly Battered Alfa 147 2.0 Lusso. 54 Reg (OMG Modern) Long Test. £400.

Mrs S has decided she would quite like a change of car. So, seeing as we now have a "spare" with the MOT pass on the five pot pasta blaster, now seemed as good a time as any to move this along.

 

It's a 147 2.0 twin spark Lusso. Has full leather, dual zone climate (but needs recharging) 4 electric windows, remote locking, Alfa CD player, 17" alloys which need a refurb and wear a mixture of budget tyres. I have no service or belt change history, so it would be prudent to assume it needs doing. I can offer the loan of the special timing tools should the buyer wish. 

 

It's covered 142000 miles, 18000 of them with Mrs S. It's been a good all round car, and has only had an FTP for a flat battery *touches wood*. 

 

On the bad side, it's a bit battered on the body. The pics show damage on the N/s doors and sill, N/S/F wing and the O/S rear door. I have a good used complete O/S/R door, but being the plank that I am, I bought a solid black one instead of the metallic. This will come with the car. The alloys will also need a refurb if you want it mint. 

 

It's had front top arms, and one bottom arm in the last couple of months. I'll throw in the bottom arm for the other side. It's showing NO WARNING LIGHTS!!11! Starts first time every time, although I think either the starter is getting a bit lazy or the battery is a bit past it, as it turns over quite slowly. 

 

It's MOT'd to January 2017 and taxed to get you home. Reg number is staying with us, so it will come on it's "normal" 54 plate. (RX54 AVF)

 

Located in Westhoughton, near Bolton. Nearest station is Daisy Hill. Can collect from station if necessary.

 

Price? I'm not sure. I'm thinking £400. May also take PX or swap for something interesting. Will also consider multi car deal if anyone would also like the Leon or the 156.

Nice! Always wanted one of these. Nearly had a newish one back before I went to uni. Ended up with a 3door diesel civic instead - probably was the better option. I might have done better with the ladies if I had the alfa tho.

In my head, these are £4k worth of serious motor! I mean, look at it! It's so bloody modern and beautiful!

I know. 54 reg seems like brand new. I think it's priced about right, though, because of the damage.

 

If nobody on here wants it this week, I think it can go on Gumtree for £500 at weekend.

Pez ones seem to be well undervalued because of their (undeserved) rep for being unreliable. Just think how much you'd have to pay for a similar age BMW or Audi.

 

Buyer can't lose with this one, looking at ebay prices for bits youd get more than 400 quid for the wheels and the interior.
