Slartibartfast Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Thought it was worth putting here because I think it's a pretty good deal and I know he looks after his cars. I also know he's selling because he's upgrading to a newer car to save on tax and get better mileage, there are no faults with the car that I'm aware of. It's on the Bay for £299. I can put you in direct contact with him if you don't want to go through the ebay route. So ... yeah. UltraWomble, Lord Sterling, oldcars and 5 others 8
purplebargeken Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 That is very clean indeed Slartibartfast and oldcars 2
Tamworthbay Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 That looks a bargain for someone, I bet it won't be around long.
bub2006 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Very very nice. Are these as diabolical on fuel though as made out?
Slartibartfast Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 Back of fag packet calculation it's about 26MPG. So not great but I've seen worse!
bub2006 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Not bad,I've seen worse too,I've had a e200 Mercedes estate. Very nice car and good luck with sale Slartibartfast 1
Alexg Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 WOW, £299!? What a time to be alive! trigger, Fabergé Greggs and Lacquer Peel 3
Guest Lord Sward Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I loved mine, even the missus liked it. We did 6k miles in a few months. GR8.
HillmanImp Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Someone once told me these cars were the result of a meeting where someone was told to design a car that cost less than 2000 dollars to build. To this day I have no idea what they spent the extra 1000 on. cms206, The Moog, Alexg and 1 other 4
CortinaDave Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 For a couple of hundred quid though you can't argue.
Lankytim Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I think the road tax on these is approx 4.2Bn Slartibartfast 1
R9UKE Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Neon was one of the most unexpectedly pleasant automative surprises I've had. Comfy American leather, ice cold AC, cup holders everywhere, slow as hell and a drinking habit to boot - what's not to love. They're like a condensed Voyager. I love them. I have a shed load of parts if anyone buys this and needs anything. eddyramrod 1
Pillock Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Worryingly, these aren't as gopping as they once were.As they've not changed their appearance, it must be because every car built since has been even uglier and at the time I just didn't know how bad things would get. Lacquer Peel, NorfolkNWeigh, vulgalour and 4 others 7
Lacquer Peel Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I think the road tax on these is approx 4.2BnIt's £9 less than the asking price, not cheap but not horrific either.
r.welfare Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 £290/year is the max you can pay pre March 05 I think, but then again most >March 01 2 litre autos will be the same. Car looks like value to me. Lacquer Peel 1
purplebargeken Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 That's really rather smart, apart from the manky steering wheel cover which is easily sorted. Bargain methinks.
eddyramrod Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I agree, as a daily for someone in need that's a no-brainer.
