Yes and I've got plenty bungee cords and gaffa tape.

Right - this is officially underway!

I've just left work, time for a quick bite to eat and a swift pint then the 19.22 train from Berwick to Edinburh then onto Falkirk, ETA 9pm.

Posted

Have you booked your train ticket or are you just going on spec ?

Posted

Crist on a bike I could have driven you up I'm only 15 mins from berwick

Always willing to help

Happy days! To be fair the plan was to work until 18.30 which is why I had already eyed up that train, but because I'm such a fast worker (read as distracted by other things), an early finish happened.

I would have loved a spin in a Tina again as well,

I've been looking at them in euro land as they are pretty cheap,

I'm sat on a slightly delayed train. Just over an hour to go and hopefully I will be on the road.

The ten minute countdown has started.

Will I be bringing this Cortina I've lusted over away from the SVM...

Or will I be badgering FOAD for that Espace ?!

Posted

I was looking forward to the Espace story................

Seriously tho - nice tina

My first ever car was a red cortina, which also sported the black front valence. Looking forward to seeing more on this!

Looks great. I looked at that on ebay too but luckily it was miles away from me.

A nice mk4 2.0 or 2.3 auto is on my bucket list, thinking about it a mk5 crusader would be equally attractive to me too in the same spec.

Believe it or not the mk3,4,5 Cortina has always been one of my fav cars, even when I was little I loved them and wanted one!

It looks smart enough for the money, I can't say I get overly excited by a Mk4 unless it's a Ghia but I can see why people like them. What do you think of it so far?

I'm currently parked in a lay by releasing a 'grabby' n/s front brake.

Other than that it's fucking ace!

Surprisingly good to drive, I had custody of a similar car over the winter and really liked it. The owner just had to change brake calliper last week also!

Yes I've had an eventful journey and enjoyed every minute of it.

Plenty of tales to tell. Alas, my fine ale has now ran dry and I really must sleep. I need to be back on the road at 7!

Needs a white Sierra next to it to show the progression in real life. Oh look, I have one here!

10.15am. What's that? Hometime because everything's been called off for the day?

Don't mind if I do - Can tinker with the Cortina when I get back.
