I'll be looking for this in my local Smiths - I'll pick it up at the same time as modern classics!

Here in the UK, retro tends to mean 1980s to 2000s. Prior to that, most stuff just gets the generic Classic tag - which the Civic Gen 1 would fall into.

Ah, that explains it to me! Thanks a lot!

So I would be more happy with a classic japanese-magazine.

I'm disappointed; not the sort of Japanese magazine I was hoping for.

There was me hoping for a 1980s Hentai review

I don't buy any current magazines at all but I'll be giving this one a go.

Ordered, does it come in a plain brown wrapper?, I wouldn't want her indoors finding out the kind of filth I like reading.

I cannot make any promises I'm afraid. Best make sure she's not paying attention when the postie arrives.

Bought! Wonder if this kind of specialist magazine has more of a future, rather than a generic Classic/Retro mag trying to appeal to the same mass market every month?

Well, you're in it. Did you forget? ;) Cleon-Fronte (if I've spelt that right) gets his Sirion in, Ratdat the Bluebird and Dugong is in the roadtrip bit with his Piazza.

I should change my name to Cleon-Alu to make it easier to spell ;)

Hopefully seeing the Sirion in print won't make parting with it a more painful experience than it already is.

Plain white.  Nobody will ever suspect...  ;)

How about the magazine export market. EVERYONE here (except jon of this parish) owns retro Japanese cars. There are 2 in my garage, my neighbours to the left have a Sirion, to the right an early Mazda 6 and Toyota Altezza, a theme which continues through the whole town. Get your marketing people going!

Ah that's a shitter then as I don't regard any of my cars as classics, I better retract my previous offer then,

I have a mint Triumph Acclaim. Is that classed as a Japanese classic????

Ordered, any plans for old Subaru content ??

The Impreza history piece includes some Subaru history. If we get the go ahead for further issues, then I'll definitely want some other Subaru content.

I've got some Daisies in the shed. That would make it all better.

I will keep an eye out for this, but that title font and cover - 6/10. Surely a retro Japanese magazine should resemble a Tamiya brochure from 1987?

Today's the day! Ordered copies have been hitting doormats apparently. I've not seen one yet myself!

Apols for non-shite content.

Yes mine was waiting for me when I got home just now, but no time to read it until latter.

Is it in the shops?

That cover looks terrible though, there's a wealth of Japanese retro design themes, it looks like every other classic car magazine. I reckon you'd get loads more interest if the cover looked 'nice'.

Hence!

Thanks for the feedback. We were constrained on the cover for various reasons that I can't really go into on a public forum.

It should be in the shops - WH Smith and Asda were the key sellers last time.

Sorry, can't get enthusiastic about it at all.  Same with the German one. Just because you like Mercs doesn't mean you like Audis or Wartburgs.

Jap cars singularly bore me to death. Respect yes, interest level = zero.

That's three mags now been on here and the last two where nowhere to be found here and that includes whs

That's ok. I love Japanese cars and always have. But others won't. That's life.
