Sorry to see this, glad you've got out ok, ish.

I know of a focus tddi but it needs a patch on the subframe for mot. The guy would take 50 quid for it but the engine is sweet.

Let me know if you want me to put you in touch, car is in Tamworth.

Work got narky, but it's not our fault.

WTF do they expect you to do, just had an RTA which means admin, loads of it, admin is time let alone the whiplash. Not as if you can hand your business card and then just drive off, FFS, some employers loose touch with life. Don't suppose your employer gas ever won any employer of the year awards

We got off lightly compared to you and Chompy. Will see what kind of payout we are offered, then the hunt for it's replacement will begin. Already had a quick nosey about, and there is sweet FA in the area for sale on the Trader that is suitable/within possible budget.

Anything Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire let me know. Collection from train stations etc available

I was at A&E for 3.5 hours, then had a 45 min drive home via a police station for advice, then was on the phone for almost an hour with my insurers and Enterprise rentals, then had to wait for a call from Copart.

Cheers Bub too, see even in your current situation, offering to help, you are a legend. I've been trying to explain to someone who said keep the car that it's not worth the hassle of buying it back, then handing out cash to someone to repair it, for it to be worth nowt due to the D marker it will have, and for the money I could just buy another undamaged car, but bless em, they won't have it. And my employers know all about paperwork for accidents as it's a bus company!!!!

I'm getting this a lot lately- Most insurance companies use Interpartner as their breakdown service provider, and we are instructed to pick the car up from the accident scene and take it straight to Copart. No insurance assessment,or even photographs. We have a massive new copart site up here and it was rammed full already when I took this over.

Copart just collected it :( Enterprise are picking me up this afternoon to go sort the rental car. Going to miss that Focus, was great to drive, really comfy, and went like stink

Rental car is a flippin Pauxhall Moccachino turbot pezzler, fully loaded, but the seats are bloody uncomfortable. My back and neck are very achy after driving it this afternoon. Will be bum raping his insurers!

"Ha! People have voted the Pontiac Aztek the ugliest car ever!"

"Yeah! We'll show them! We don't rest on our laurels at the GM Styling department!"

It's a big car and those wheels are 18 inchers, so it shows the scale of this monster, I'm 5ft 10 and it's taller than me. Interior is utterly gopping, and has a stupid fiberoptic type strip of red running the width of the dash, it can be dimmed, but there is still a red glow by the ends. Did my tree in on the way home, and why the fuck do I need to press the clutch down to start it when the handbrake is on, and it's in neutral? Plus the handbrake lever button is on the top of the lever. Just why????????????? 1.4 Turbo that is fucking juicy too, averaging 32 mpg so that's 3 gallons a day!

ORL VOCKSORLZ R SHIT!

Sounds about right for a 1.4 petrol lugging such a lardy arse around (the vehicle, not your good self).

I had one of these for a week last winter. n/a 1.6 top spec.

What pissed me off most about it was the heated steering wheel. Why?

Didn't help me de-ice the windscreen at -5 in a hotel car park in North Yorks did it? No.

Massively over complicated heater, headlights are pretty shit for the size of car, dash light for passenger airbag seems to stay on for a while before it gets bored, same for rear seatbelt check, the 6 speed manual feels awful, change up light comes on at just over 2.5k revs..... I would like to meet the design team and kick them all in the bollocks!

Boss lady has a 3 door 2005 Micra. She got hit on the side by a knob exiting a MaccyD car park, slow speed, yadda yadda. Damage to hers was a ding and a scuff on the passenger door and a dent on the wing.

Car is still totally driveable. Insurance assessor had a look and said it will be 1600 quid to sort it. New wing, door skin, paint. 1600 fucking quid! Fuck off.

Wing on ebay 26 quid, 50 quid to paint. Door 70 odd quid, same again to paint, or get used same colour stuff.

Fucking robbing insurance price-raising cunts

Modernz. I first came across it on a 2011 Renault Fluence. I think it's some type approval safety tut and mandatory now.

Drive it into a brick wall, reverse, get out and look to see if looks have improved, repeat if they haven't.

You can feel that the car is designed to last only as long as the warranty

they seem to be a motability fave at the mo

Got a diesel auto one of those last year after crashing into a bus and it was similarly unpleasant. Hit a pothole in it and thought it had shattered a rim or something as the jolt was so fierce.

Shame about the Focus though, hope you find something decent with the payout.

Like the Skoda Yeti Stannah Stairlift edition. Should fit em with Shackleton's High seat Chairs

And yes, expansion joints on the A14 are not even remotely absorbed. Hateful POS

Vauxhalls all seem to feel like that now, cheap badly finished rubbish. Not like the old cavaliers that used to have a solid feel about them.

The insignia is a decent steer, which makes the whole thing worse - it shows they are capable of making something half decent if they want to, therefore have made no effort with the rest of the range.

Kinda like being disappointed with your smart but lazy child....

Those Mokkas really are a celebration of all things mediocre, with a few bits that are outright crap added to the mix.
