Bikeshite for sale (Hyosung 125) - £350

I had been hoping to keep this as it's really a rather pleasant thing to ride for a 125, but an imminent change of priorities means I'm soon not going to have anywhere to store it (apart from on the back lawn in the rain, which isn't going to do it a lot of good, or in the back of the van which would be a royal pain in the arse).

It's a Hyosung GT125.  It's a Korean bike, and it's a big bastard for a 125 - as far as I can tell the frame is based on a Suzuki GS500.  The engine is a 4-stroke V-twin with 4 valves per cylinder, which puts out the maximum permitted 15 bhp - although as it's such a lardy bike it still ain't quick.  It does sound proper horny for a 125 though.  Gearbox is 5-speed.

The paint job is something of an acquired taste, the tank and the clock surround are resplendent in fake snakeskin effect paint, with the rest of the bike being painted black (to a varying standard if I'm brutally honest).  I have to say it's grown on me since I've had the bike.

There's a few things wrong with it.  For a test, as far as I can see (and I ain't no tester), it'll need fork seals (a fiver on eBay) and the rear caliper freeing off - this isn't badly stuck as it releases straight away with a swift tap from a rubber mallet or even a well-aimed foot, but it doesn't quite release by itself.  Also, being a ham-fisted twat, I managed to break off the end of the clutch lever and the pedal bit of the gear lever.  The former has been left as is as it doesn't affect the use of the bike; the latter has been replaced by a bit of copper pipe bent at right angles and jubilee clipped onto the gear lever - this was a get-you-home bodge that's been on there ever since, it works fine but I'm not sure MOT man would be too impressed.  Also the choke cable is broken so you have to reach down to the carb to operate the choke - it normally only needs choke for a few seconds anyway so not a big chore.  Other than that it's minor cosmetic stuff really.

The clocks are showing 59,000 km, so about 36,000 miles.  I only have the green section of the V5.

I'm advertising the bike for what it owes me (which is still plenty cheap for one of these) - if it doesn't sell for this price then I'll probably end up keeping it.
