So, this has bailed me out over winter, but now I'd like something a bit posher!

 

 

ZX 1.9 turbo diesel estate. Lucas pump, 164000 miles. MOT till 25th February taxed to get you home.

 

Good

MOT to 25th Feb

Get you home tax

Starts, runs and drives well

Electric front windows which work

N/S electric mirror which works

Towbar with twin electrics

It's £120

 

Bad

Rear windows don't work, and are held closed with wooden wedges

Electric sunroof is a gamble. Craig opened it when he delivered it, and I had to mess about with the manual close to get it to shut

Central locking doesn't work on remote, but does with the key in the lock

Lacquer peel on bonnet, although panels are straight.

 

Ruffgeezer looked over this after he bought it, and he has told me that it will probably need a rear shocker and a couple of bits of welding for another test. He obviously offered no guarantees, and neither can I. So I'm not going to say "will pas MOT easily", although it may with a little fettling. It would be a crying shame to scrap it, although it would probably make someone a few quid in parts.

 

Car is in Westhoughton, near Bolton. Nearest rail staion is Daisy Hill. I can collect from station etc.

 

Pictures are a month or so old, but nothing has changed.

Thanks Joe, I like the idea of this one but its just not the right time, im trying to sell off cars not aquire more. Good deal though, shame it has been cursed by the prince of darkness and has such little MOT.

 

Maybe next time!

Maybe you should buy it just to "keep in stock", you know, "just in case". You can never have too many XUDs, can you?

Ok, back to the top. Should have been going today, but haven't had any contact.

 

Would also raffle at £1.50 per ticket if there's enough interest. It's taking up space that I don't really have since I brought the Alfa home.

My arse doesn't fit those sporty seats in a 306 (I was perched on top of the ones in Will's 205, I couldn't manage a 4-hour commute perched on top of them!

I *think* Will has a three-door interior for a less sporting 306 (flatter seats?) in stock if that's relevant to you or anyone.
