Kenneth_Mc_Testes' ROVER 45 V6 JATCO JUS KICKED IN Y0

You can certainly get a 45 saloon in 2.0 V6 flavour, struggle to find a hatch version though!

Mg rover stated 90k/6 years in the handbooks afaik ... Mine had a belt (apparently) at 45k ish and is now on 95562. Not sure if it means it's ready or not, if it snaps then mega doom ... If I get it done at a garage it's about £700 +/- a bit! Anyone would think that they are hard to change :D

Is this the case only for the 45? I've been looking into it for my 75 and there are companies quoting fixed price of around £450-500.

The free Rover pens mark a departure from the complimentary matches they gave out with the Rover 200 series. Because, 'above all, it is a Rover...'

Project drive on the blue pens also! Nothing on the case just a tiny 75 on the metal bit. 20150315_122829.jpg

massive want for a 75 biro.

Everybody Wang Cheung tonight.

Doesn't Cheung get upset when everybody does that to him?

What exactly is the issue with the Jatco from Brush Strokes box? Is it unreliable or just utter shite in service?

Posted

I believe the Shatco is a decent box but in this case the shift points aren't too well matched to the power delivery of the 2.0 v6.

I'm on the train, all going well so far apart from my trousers are a bit tight

This may help with the tight troozers:

Or make things worse....

Tight trousers can be removed for the trip home. Get a little closer to that 45.

Got your "starlight" filter on or just all gunge on your lens?

The lady in the background looks less than impressed ;)

She drives a silver Vauxhall Corsa. She has default transport, the one you end up with if you have no input into the decision.

Her opinion counts for shit. That's a fine looking car.

Soft focus. Adds glamour innit?

How could you add glamour to this shot? They didn't do a 45 Vanden Plas, did they?

I have an MGF kettle somewhere.

who at Rover thought that was a good idea?

To be fair, Mr Bollocks is stood on a petrol station forecourt with no trousers on taking a pic of a Rover 45.

Thankfully I can confirm he had trousers on throughout.

I was thinking "soft focus" too achieved with an expert smear of Vaseline..................and flash the lights !!

Posted

Vaseline! Whoa! That's a serious implication there.

That car looks like a fine purchase, how does it drive Mr B?

Is the higher number plate positioning on these V6 45s because of cooling issues or something (very slightly less restricted airflow) or just a cheap as chips "that'll do" way of making it slightly distiguishable from a 4 cylinder?

Posted

I think the latter.

Will do a write up on this tomorrow, suffice to say its the flippin bees knees, I properly love it already!!! A few minor bits to sort but nowt terrifying. Goes like the clappers!!!!!
