You can certainly get a 45 saloon in 2.0 V6 flavour, struggle to find a hatch version though!

Mg rover stated 90k/6 years in the handbooks afaik ... Mine had a belt (apparently) at 45k ish and is now on 95562. Not sure if it means it's ready or not, if it snaps then mega doom ... If I get it done at a garage it's about £700 +/- a bit! Anyone would think that they are hard to change

 

Is this the case only for the 45? I've been looking into it for my 75 and there are companies quoting fixed price of around £450-500.

I believe the Shatco is a decent box but in this case the shift points aren't too well matched to the power delivery of the 2.0 v6.

Is the higher number plate positioning on these V6 45s because of cooling issues or something (very slightly less restricted airflow) or just a cheap as chips "that'll do" way of making it slightly distiguishable from a 4 cylinder?
