Had a FTP in the Golf yesterday.... because I'm a fucking idiot and didn't put fuel in it!

No warning light on the mk3 Golf it turns out :D

First thoughts were that the cambelt had snapped or something similarly terminal so I'm going to use this opportunity to do all of the work I've been putting off before something does go wrong!

Could be worse. My dad ran out of petrol in his metro and sent me to get some petrol can in hand, apart from I had on my Wonderstuff T-shirt with IDIOT on the front.

Treated my shitty Fiesta loan car to a set of mats because it's been earning its keep recently

Guaranteed TRACK WEAPON now.

Moog proved that by adding floor mats to the Starlet.

Haha it still has slightly knackered core plugs so i doubt it's much of a weapon with a misfire!

I then removed mats to get FULL PoWAH! As made pedal stick

How come you're having such an urgent cull Kiltox? I'm going to miss reading about your shite adventures.

Posted

I could give the press and engine crane/stand a home, how quick do you need em shifted?

Posted

No mad rush Nutz - I'm planning to be out of my unit by April when my Duster is delivered. I'd like to start thinning stuff down soon though.

Too much pressure to pay expensive rent on the space I use and not enough time to bring money in selling slightly less shite to fund my adventures.

How fucked is the 06 Panda, please?

Jesus Cav you need help :)

It's very fucked - engine swap didn't sort it out, I think the ECU is toast but the wiring loom could also be knackered

also 181k miles

Let me dig out the cables and software but yeah that should be fine!

Are you travelling far because I can't see it being much more than £7 to post it

206k miles, 1.9dci 6 speed manual SWB low roof

Rough running due to a dodgy crank sensor (cleaning it 4K ago sorted it but it probably wants changing). Engine, turbo, box are great and I seriously doubt original. Engine is a bit oily, couple of leaks but it's not pissing everywhere. Roof is leaky.

£500 as it sits.

Hampshire to Cheshire, so not far out of my way...

I'll let you know an eta on Friday once I'm on the road, so you can pm me your address

New crank sensor has sorted the van right out (I've been voluntold to move some stuff later today so needed to sort it)

Still for sale but for a little more cash.

Weird metallic beige-green - a giffer favourite I'm sure.

Rear bushes are banging like a goodun and the rear doors don't open. Engine and gearbox are strong although I suspect the dephaser is kippered.

I still can't get over how clean it was under the dirt, it's like all the dirt has been washed off.... I've never seen it clean!

It didn't quite shift some of it on the bonnet but yeah surprisingly good for an automatic car wash at a petrol station!!
