You know you're an autoshiter when...

Someone mentions a Bond car and you instantly think of oddball three wheelers rather than silver Astons.A sign directing you to a Marina makes you daydream about Harvest Gold. You refer to twelve year old cars as "a bit modern really."The sight of an Eighties Toyota or Nissan (preferably a family saloon) makes you whoop with delight, confusing innocent bystanders. You trawl through classifieds considering owning absolutely everything that's under £400.You mutter nasty things under your breath at the mere mention of the new MINI.Got any more?

When your holiday photos are about 20% family, 80% old shitters.

Nice one wobbler.

I keep thinking of my XM as my 'modern' motor - then I realise it's twenty years old!

:D:D There used to be an 'under £500' section in our local rag which was ideal - they changed it to 'under £1000' and for me, that rendered it next to useless - too much trawling required!

Bingo. Spending more than £500 on your daily wheels is just wrong.I find myself scouring the ebay section on here more than I look at the actual ebay... I think I'm lucky that I'm not afflicted with the old Jap Car Virus, although having said that, a shabby Datsun 300C or Toymota Crown would possibly get my bidding finger twitching.

... you aren't allowed to park in the managers car park at work cos it doesn't project the right image of the company

Even the office bod who dishes out the jobs, who owns a Boxster convertible..(gay or what) takes the piss out of your 39 year old Landy dissolving in the car park.

Just realised my lovely Laurel qualifies a Autoshite. Its 10 years old and the odometer starts with 2 and is an ex taxi :cry: P.S. theres only 1 small dent (supermarket trolley) NO rust and interior is very tidy. And I havent even changed a spark plug yet.

Scrapyards are viable destinations on family holidays to the West Country. In fact a car breakers anywhere is an interesting and rewarding retail experience, even if you don't buy anything!

You see an old car on the back of a truck, and you wonder whats gonna be its fate.. and can you save it!

You go out for dinner with your missus and all you can think about is the 1989 Yugo 45 you saw a few days ago in Basildon!

It was driving along past the Festival Leisure Park in the direction of Laindon. Looked in reasonable nick! Couldnt tell how old the owner was but he didnt look all that old. I did wonder if it was one of our number?Sadly he was headed the opposite way to me so no time to whip out the phone camera..It was white, "E" or "F" reg and probably a 45 model as the 65 tended to be body kitted and colour coded and this one wasnt. I remember having a hankering for a basic 45 model for a time, I always did like the povo spec models like the Seat Ibiza Designer, Uno Fire, R5 Campus, etc etc...

Not only the "old search experience" but also the od "my ebay" page will be going - is it just e that finds the new layout unbelievably annoying, I mean really really annoying to the pont where it makes me want to go out and hit things with a baseball bat with a nail knocked through it?

You see, that is shite.

The 'my ebay' part of ebay is fine the way it is. Im still finding it difficult to find anything better about the new ad layout
