Mine too, and strangely I should have an auto coming this week, that also isn't a Picasso and is likely to arrive in darkness....

I also am due to become the proud owner of strange Angel's Peugeot 205 tintop auto now he has fulfilled his dreams to get his greasy mitts on a cabrio with less toys etc :-D

 

Autos are certainly for Captains of industry and other Big winners 8)

well now turned up,genuine 18000 miles  rover metro manhattan a,looks like a giant hamster has had good nibble on the roof;as has the slam panel,does it need to be welded on slam panel....interior looks fine,3 mths mot,more to follow,...

Goodness me, that is truly horrendous on every level, well done Sir indeed, this could be legendary :-D

 

I have had an auto one of these too, normally a big fan of the stick-less shifting, but this and the Austin Vanden Plas (posh Allegro) are a fine advert for the alternative :-P

funny enough the underside is like new :-D see how weather goes than grind back the roof,hammerite kurust,fibreglass that bloody big hole,will get some piccies up later,been to euro,got air-filter on clearance,fuel filter,oil filter,mot advisorys makes for good reading,roof corroded outside of any prescribed area,slam panel corroded,no emissions [rint out as non cat test...

I can't help but wonder why anybody would want to try and rescue that?! Non rotten ones are worthless. Good luck!

start filling tomorrow,now looking at vinyl options,will take pictures tomorrows,if it stops pissing it down,have applied kurust,comma spray,leave overnight..its got alarm,not working,re slam panel could just pop rivet some plates in,or arc weld them in...choices.... :-D

The T-handled gear selector is exactly the same one used in the early Mk1 Rover 800s:

Car manufacturer in parts sharing shock.

 

What gearbox is in these? Is the engine a 1.4K? It seemed to be the supermini with auto box norm of the time to use the bigger engine.

1.4 8v K series - you can tell by the dash
