I don't know whether to take that as a compliment of an insult

:-D It was a compliment, an insult would have been "You are Bernie Fineman AICMFP"

I have a mate that looks like Bernie....

I can tell you £100 can't buy a fucking premium bond for starters....

Thats great work on the Bo Selecta Punto just goes to show how a little time and effort spent can turn a car round in a short amount of time.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Focus next I've been seeing a few bargain priced one's lately too.

Sorry, shouldn't laugh but I did.

Jesus, that's tested for a hundred quid?

Alloys, original CD player, looks straight, not been driven through a brick wall, no corpse in the boot.... What is meant to be wrong with it?

Laguna 1.6, £50

It drives but needs a jump start if the weather is cold. MOT'd till July. Bit rough, something is about to give up, drive shaft or wheel bearing (not sure) and needs new back brakes.

Crikey, that Focus looks ace in a modern car sort of way.

Impressive work...goes to show this kind of thing hasn't died out yet. Are you able to achieve all this without a ferry crossing? If so, I am double impressed.

Hey, just remembered my mate had a same-shape Punto of '97 vintage.  One day the throttle or brake pedal (can't remember which) felt a bit weird and on closer inspection it was literally about to fall off.  Might be worth a quick check  before your mate drives off into the sunset!  (Or off the end of the island.)

What with the price of scrap being on its arse again, there's a very pleasant return to usable dirt cheap hacks being available once more that have a fighting chance of seeing service again rather than a one-way to the bridge. Good work.

Hi, that's right, it wasn't so long ago those would have gone over the bridge for more and no one would have known otherwise or had the chance.

Another 'can't go wrong' winner there, I doff my proverbial hat in your direction, sir.

Even if you just lob the doors in the boot and advertise as it is you'd surely double your money at the absolute worst.

Please keep this thread going, love this sort of thing.

I think the B post has moved in at the bottom but i am a panel beater so repairing it won't be an issue.

Luckily for me nobody else was involved in the accident so it was never reported or recorded so there will be no marker on it!
