AnthonyG Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 In the early days of Autoshite (06-07) there was a member called Baz from Norfolk (?) who amongst other passions liked Renault 20s. He had agreed to buy one, and possibly even handed over the majority of the money (and we weren't talking £200 here) but the owner kept on saying he needed to finish a few jobs on it before letting Baz have it. That's about all I remember. Baz has been on since that time but not for a couple of years to my knowledge, and I don't think he ever got that 20. EDIT: well remembered. I don't think Baz found it that hilarious though, and none of the rest of us could figure out why he didn't involve a solicitor/big well-built relative/the police after it had dragged on for 2 years. The chap basically agreed to do a major resto on the car after Baz paid for it, which struck me as rather odd - then the excuses started, and eventually I think Baz gave it up as a bad job. No idea what happened to the car in the end.

Some of the more Senior members swiftly sent him packing. (& unless he has changed his user name) hasn't been back As regards Mr Bowker. No idea, no dealings, till now, never heard of him. I feel it only right to recall this ages old saga, especially as only today the potential Safrane purchaser mentioned a Bowker Renault he's possibly interested in. Let's be sure that this bloke doesn't shaft a shiter again!Don,t worry i have it all in hand,i could go into abit more depth about the Safrane dealings with him,but i have NOTHING bad to say,expect he is to damm far from me to get it collected/delivered at a sensible price.
