Well, sold to a scrapper, so to be scrapped.

How come? It made some monies on eBay... Not as much as you wanted, but better than scrap surely!

Seems a shame, but it is (was) your motor.

I can't believe it's going to be broke up. A friend had a mint Mk3 Escort Ghia which went the same way last year too. :(

I could.............

No doubt Tim from Northampton bought it. He'll soon have the disc cutter on it.

The problem with a lot of the cars we use is that they are worth more as the sum of their parts than as a road-going vehicle..

Yes. Good cars are full of good parts, shagged ones aren't. Bloody shame really but I guess money talks. I can't see there's a huge profit in it at 750 odd quid though. I made about 5-600 in the end out of Richard's green one after I decided it wasn't worth fixing, and that was a leathered up 24v manual.

The best one I broke was an absolutely mint Laser blue 1991 525i manual, two owners, 72'000 miles with leather. It was so clean I was washing bits like the digff and steering box with fairly liquid and a hone. Some moron weighed it in on the scrap page shame for a Kia Syphhilus (sic).

Matey from Brum is an Asian lad on BMW 5.co.uk, breaks a lot of stuff. Decent bloke, not a messer.

Still - car gone, $$$$ in hand, problem solved.

Part out? Was the buyer American? Did he ask for a rebate on the sticker price?

The spirit of Pistonheads appears to have infected this place today.

What you want is a live-in mate for him. A hamster that wears a blue suit and glasses. Co-incidentally rather like your avatar! :)

For some reason I always thought that Penfold was a mole, but he's totes obvs a hamster, doh.

Nah, the grammar/spelling police haven't turned up yet

Bugger - you had me doubting myself. Mrs smellypoo thinks mole as well. Quick look on Internets says hamster though... Although plenty of debate

I always thought Penffold was a mole as well. Aren't hamsters the same size as mice?

Then again, moles look fecking huge.

Shame about the E34 but that's the way it goes sometimes, at least it'll keep others going.

Onward and upward!
