I remember falling out with the boss man from ecoflow about his claims of a 5% or more improvement in fuel consumption from cable tying a magnet to your fuel pipe . I explained that the big manufacturers would spend billions developing a new engine for a 5% gain and that if his shit worked they could buy his company with their loose change . He just couldn't get his head around it !

 

Nearly as good as telling the walker exhaust rep that his exhausts were shit and that a running joke in the trade is that the stickers last longer than the silencer they are stuck to .

I think there was simply an air gap in the lead which forced the coil to work harder, so making a brighter spark. I'd say 99% of amazing new inventions to make your engine faster and more efficient are along these lines, but how believing are you Autoshiters in the Pogue carburettor which appeared in the 30s?
