For Sale - MK2 Ford Cortina 2dr (LHD)

I have a LHD MK2 Ford Cortina 2dr that I am looking to sell on behalf of a friend. It was originally German registered but is currently in Scandinavia and will be delivered to the UK soon and is likely to end up in my custody.

It's a complete and solid car, which is relatively rot free and runs and drives for loading purposes. The interior is complete, unfortunately it doesn't come with standard wheels and there is an aftermarket sunroof fitted. Not that it matters as it really wants lowering on minilites and a Zetec fitted! I'd love to take it on but simply don't have the space and SHWMBO would kill me!

According to the VIN it is a Dagenham Built 2dr Saloon - June 1969 build date - 1300cc High Comp - Floor Change - 4.1:1 Axle - Interior Trim is Black PVC - Original Colour was Black Cherry

If you have any questions PM me - looking for £2000 ono offers.

Lovely and a good price too.

Should fly away at that.  The last car my dad bought new was a Black Cherry Cortina, but a 1500 Super 4 door.  I remember it well!  HWM 457F, where are you now?

That would complete triggers collection nicely.

Very nice. I'm very close to you aswell...

I'd better not, I'll be killed horribly if I bring anything else home! Much as I'd like to!

That's bloody cheap..

A friend of mine bought one a few years back and he really knows his old cortina's admittedly his was in 1600E flavour and he's still going to put it on the the road 4 years later and his was was an absolute steal at £1500 and that was for a non runner which needed a lot of welding due to a bad 3 litre conversion but as he says he's not in a hurry as it's his Ford Pension Pot.

Prices have only gone up since then I can't see it hanging around long especially with top mounts looking that good.. And as for the sunroof it only needs a bigger hole cut out and a nice period webesto fitted in its place.
