For sail: Once in a life opportunity to by a Shitroen BX 1.7 turbot diseasel.

Good Points:

Its french sexiness on wheels

45 to the gallon

MoT until 09.07.15

Get you home tax

Recent new water pump and various water pipes (this year)

New timing belt this year

New battery this year.

Suspension goes up and down like it should. The ride is smoother than a shag on a mink coat!

Leccytrick sunroof and windows.

Tow bar and leccy tricks working o.k.

Bad bits:

Its french!

Leccy trick sunroof a bit temperamental

On first start up smokes like a chimney. Clears after 30 seconds or so.

Shite stereo. 1x cd and 2x speakers.

Needs a good service ( sounds like a frenchman hammering an anvil!)

Despite new waterpump and various pipes it still pisses it's self on the drive.

Water temp gauge being french and not working.

Bound to be a few other bits and bobs that I can't remember!

Hope I've not put anyone off too much, but the black beastie has to go to pay for a car for my daughter. Shitters discount available but I've no idea what these are worth. Does £400.00 sound reasonable? Car is in Yeovil Zummersetshire. Pm me if anybody is interested.Probably go on to Evilbay next week if nobody here wants it.

Giffer owned before me so it was polished to within an inch of its life!

It's a Tuuuuuuuuuuuuuurbo therefore it's a sports car innit!

Ooooooooooooh. This is definitely not what i was looking for, so colour me interested

Need to cancel current bids! I've made a mistake! It's a DTR. No idea what that spec level it is but it says on the back! It's got rear sunshades built into the parcel shelf for that 1/2 an hour of sunshine we'll get this summer and it's got poundland wheel trims. I've checked the V5 and it's had 1 careful onwer and then lots of careless owners. I've got half a dozen receipts so thats practically FSH. Whats not to like about this beauty!

Anyone who hasn't owned or driven one of these is missing out, they're class in a massive glass. I'm well out of touch with all things BX, but I think this is the (rare) 'Mk one and half' one, from the seats and the rear lights.

Anyhow, they're supremely comfortable, go like f*ck and are proper quirky.

Turbo diesel bx is defo the one to have, I wish I could buy it, but unfortunately I'm being sensible for a while ... GLWTS etc.

Theres so much to 'like' about this BX. Infact the whole 'like' button doesnt really do it justice at all. Love the colour and interior, everything about it (except the trims which is easily solved, or roll as is for the giffer look)

Fuck a duck. I so need another BX in my life.

All the best BX's are £400 F-platers with THAT interior. The car of winners.

Stupendous value given what BX prices are starting to do. And if you de-Anglicise the trim level, it's a highly desirable TRD Turbo! Barely any BXs had water temp gauges though, so could it be that someone has fitted one (binnacle compartments can be swapped) but not connected it?

Isn't Ankh Morpork from Discworld/terry Pratchett? I only know as I worked on the Discworld game on the PC in 1996!

Yep, unfortunately Sir Terry took his final ride on Binky earlier this year. He was one if not the finest comedy sci/fi writers in the world.

Met BigMac of this parish today. Thoroughly decent chap, cups of tea drank and chat about the BX and he made an offer that could not be refused! He'll collect the car on Saturday so hopefully there will be a collection thread appearing soon! Thanks to everyone for all their interest in the car!
