HMC Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Smoke? Hope that isn't too ominous. Top work with the free 7 series! How did you find out about it?
DodgyBastard Posted March 21, 2016 Author Posted March 21, 2016 Smoke? Hope that isn't too ominous. Top work with the free 7 series! How did you find out about it? Steam from coolant spraying out of the grille. Upon closer inspection the hoses were loose but I'll need a better look in the daylight. The car belonged to a workmates father, he wanted the private number plate from the car and found a way to remove it recently. I knew about the car a couple of years ago but it has taken until now to remove the plate.
fatharris Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 As posted on your FB, congrats, they're really top motors, what are your plans for it? CortinaDave 1

garbaldy Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 ooh tina much want, is it reasonably solid and is it available to purchase ? Are you cornering the market for French dizzlers.
cort16 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 What engine's in that cortina? It kind of looks like an injected pinto manifold but it's on the wrong side.
cort16 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Ah right, interesting choice I though those twin cams where a bit flakey

Split_Pin Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Looks like a couple of tail lamps and that's it! Funny to see that and the Carlton from the other side, having ran past the pair on the road behind for years. The Carlton looks even worse!
vulgalour Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Just noticed what little is left of that Princess on top of the Peugeot van.
derskine Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 There's an Ambassador too I think, more of which is still there.
DodgyBastard Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 309 twins by srblythe, on Flickr Got the other 309 home eventually after getting the AA man to bodge the radiator hose. It's pretty much just a spares car for the other 309, first thing I'll be removing is the cv joints/driveshafts followed by the interior. In other news my 240 passed the mot today. MOT Pass! by srblythe, on Flickr I'm still undecided as whether to keep it or sell it.. Bucketeer, oldcars, The Moog and 1 other 4
Supernaut Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Oh, right! I didn't realise the white 309 was another car entirely! Is it also an N/A XUD?

The Moog Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 You should have all xuds going at the same time.... Would cause LP much excitement
Lacquer Peel Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 XUDs sound lovely for a four pot diesel. I used the last of my data allowance to view that video but it was worth it, I like the turbo noise - straight through/no exhaust?
Split_Pin Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Lovely spooling sound from the turbo! I forgot that these cars are actually quite handsome!
stripped fred Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Lovely spooling sound from the turbo! I forgot that these cars are actually quite handsome!Does it have a turbo?
Lacquer Peel Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Not from the factory, but FOAD's 305 has been retro-fitted with an XUD9TE. KruJoe 1
Supernaut Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Who's buying the Omega off me? I fucking WANT a turbo XUD with a free-flowing exhaust again. NOW. That noise. That noooooiiiise!
DodgyBastard Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Over the weekend Mrs FOAD has been working on her 360 and patching up her sills.
